Here ya go...

Step 1. Choose a color of RIT dye, you can get them at most arts and crafts stores

Step 2. Takes liners out and clean the shells

Step 3. (this is when improvisation comes in)What i did was start boiling 3 pots of water at a time until i filled a plastic bucket that could fit both my boots in it, With the final pot of boiling water, mix in the RIT dye, and add it to the rest of the water and stir it around a bit. Put the boots in, the more time, the darker the color, i did mine for about 22 minutes.

Step 4. Takes the boots out and rinse them with cold water until the water runs clear.

Step 5. Let them dry, put the liners in, and be a baller.

Here are mine

All of this courtesy of Kyle at Pinewskis!!! If you have any questions, let me know

i don't buy boots based on color, i just figured since they were white i would dye them, but ya, i do, thanks

^word. I have Krypton pro's and hate the lime green. I think all black

would be way sicker. How long you think i would have to leave them in

the dye to be jet black? And how much color, one box?

ya, you only need one box, however if your trying to go jet black 2 couldn't hurt, especially at 3$ a box. I would leave them in for like an hour or even more, its not like they can get too black, but once the water cools in the bucket, it wont really do anything to the plastic anymore

Thanks a ton. +Karma to all. I am going to do some disc golf dics at the same time I think.

can u basically dye any ski boot or does it matter on material or color ? this is sweet , i had no idea this was possible

Oh ya it's possible, there are a lot of people that dye skate boots, so it can be done with ski boots as well. Generally you want a color like white because it's easiest to dye because it's a light color. Darker colors on the other hand aren't so good with dying...

pretty sure it would have to be a light colored boot. Unless you just wanted to murder them out which you could probably do with any color.

those blue ones are sick.

dose it wear onto your pants tho? i could see that being a problem.

what color should i grab to dye my 07 kryptons - the ones with the sandy color shell

sorry for the threadjack

no, thats not a problem, the way it works is it heats up the plastic, loosening the bonds allowing for the dye to attach itself, the only way to really get it of would be by sanding them...a lot. And let me know what color you do and if it turns out, i have a pair and i cant thinki of what color would look good, i was thinking just black, or maybe orange.

This is a tryed and true method for dying lacrosse head but the one thing alot of people say when they dye their lacrosse heads is it get's more flexible after so i'm wondering if the dying could possibly mess up the boots some how?

Umm it might not come out jet black just cause of the lime green but it might give u a super dark black with like a hint of green if you get what im saying. Just get the water super hot dump a bottle in to be safe and try.

Im interested in doing this but my main question is that would it damage or alter my brand new kaos in any way? Should i wait till next season when they are beat up anyway or will the dye/boiling water have no effect on my boots whatsoever. sorry for kinda old thread bump but i searchbared and didnt want to make a new one.
also has anyone ever dyed a pair of headphones. for example the top peoice of skullcandy icons?

only thing that can happen is your heel insert will detach itself. All you need to do is hot glue it into the heel cup.

Here are mine i did at the beginning of the season...i dyed them purps and green to match my outerwear. to get the squiggles, you dye them a base color (green) and then make designs using hot glue. then you put the boots in the top color (purple) and when the boots dry, peel the hot glue off and you have some dope boots...they are darker in real life, but i took the pic on my phone so they look faded:

hmm i may do this with my rampages. I have last years which are the white and brown ones. Would the brown get died too because i really would like it to stay brown. idk what color i would do either, i think yellow would look sick whit the brown

thats what i am wondering too because the brown would probably turn into some disgusting color. i want to do kelly green or red for mine

this is really cool, my threads for sure

i have last years Dalbello Rave's, white at the foot and a pretty light brown on the calf. what color should i do? what will happen to the brown and how would i avoid it if they would come out bad?

i have last years rampages and i was wondering the same thing. you can tell on the pic with the red spk's that some of it is on the black, but i'm guessing if we do the whole boot it will not look to noticeablle. The color will be different but it may not look bad

i feel like dying my full tilt tongues.

they are the camos, so i would do something SUPER bright, like a lime green and black camo.

may not work though....

just an FYI UV rays will fade the color over time. red turns to pink, etc. you can always re-up it later on though.
