Damn, there are some really nice dye jobs in this thread! Also my threads for when I find time to do this to my boots

Damn, great jobs in here!

I've got some Atomic race boots (stiff and fit great) and I would really like to dye them..

Anybody dyed atomic boots? I'm not sure if it wil work.. the plastic is pretty uhm glossy?/shiny? will it still work??

And how much will the dye effect the red?? Thanks for any info!!

I just got yellow spk's and i was thinkin about doing this at the end of the season, what colors would look sick with my clothes. I got Gsuit and a blue bonfire jacket and air raid pants.

Anyone have any ideas for Rossignol SAS boots? They're all white and ugly as fuck (but super comfortable, which is why I got them). Anyone know if rossi's boots work with this?

actually, as far as my lower half goes, i got pink sagas, bangs, and marker griffons, so the little itty bit of white that shows matches pretty well and i dont think im gunna dye them

my threads!/ im gonna try it with my white rampage boots sometime. ill post up if it worked or if it didnt and what happened to the brown :P

does anyone have any experience with, or pictures of dyed boots that weren't originally white?

i want to dye my red hotdoggers but im not sure if it'll work.

I know it sounds like a stupid idea and probably wont work but what if you die them white first then the colour you want?

yeah i was wondering about that too. you couldn't dye them but it seems like some sort of plastic specific bleach could exist that would lighten up the plastic and allow it to except dye better.

anyone know if there is anything like that?

if you boil your boots, you run the risk of distorting the alignment of the sole and/or toes and heels. This is a common problem when you boil boots in order to soften them for stretching.

Use vinyl dye.. the stuff they use on cars... It absorbs into the plastic. You dye it white first... then whatever color you choose on top of it.

Just tried some orange RIT on my white rossi scratch boots and it worked. Im going to do all them tomorrow.

You can re-boil the dyed water, and add more dye if you want.

I'd go with the liquid dye personally, I used it on my lax head and it did a damn good job the first time.

Has anyone dyed a pair of colored boots black/ if so how'd it turn out?. I'm looking at getting a pair of the Full Tilt seth pro models and if I got them I would dye them black. Just wondering what kind of result I would get

Not really an option, the shop I go to only has the Seth's and the Classics, and the Seth's are the only ones they have in my size. I also prefer to get them from the shop to support the local business and also they do all the customization/fitting there for free if you buy from them.
