do the sway bar no matter what...

You can get a used WRX sway bar for like $20. The stock endlinks are fine, and the 20mm sway bar (has to be a 2002 WRX, they switched to 17mm in 2003) makes a HUGE difference!

Then yeah I guess Kevin's right, paint the skirts and lip. Get some spats too, any kind doesn't have to be sexy sexy JDM WRX like me.

kevin has homemade sway bar endlinks that are rusted and don't work for shit......

hey, they work in the way that they re-attatch the sway bar, they just don't work in the way that they're not easy to put back on.

they're call quick disconnects, and they disconnect quite quick, they just don't go back on all that quick.

AHHHHHH, i'm so torn with what I should be doing car wise right now too.

I want to lower my car (only springs, not struts right now). I hear H&R's are VERY low, so I don't want to go too low. But they lower more in the front than in the rear, which is awesome. The SPT springs don't lower as much (only about an inch which is perfect) but they lower more in the rear than the front, which is NOT awesome.

About $200 for a brand new set of SPT's. Also, $200 for a nice tint job. I want that bad too with some new-decaling.

$200 for a new Buggy gas tank so I can get that thing driving again.

$200 for Impreza seats for the Buggy.

$150 for RS front bumper/beam, plus more for painting and fog covers.

oh yeah, and I want either a bigger fart can exhaust (Blitz NUR-Spec or Espilier) but those are a lot more, so probably won't be doing that.

Or a Stromung dual tip, also very expensive.

My exhaust is cool, but I don't know. I want something either bigger or smaller. Maybe a LITTLE quiter too, but not much. Cause right now I'm pretty fucking loud.

What does the buggy take, a standard VW tank or a fuel cell or what? cuz we've got the stock tank that looks fine, no rust or anything

 
its a stock VW tank, but I have to have a center filler. Brand new stock tanks can be had for like $60 brand spanking new. but its the ones that have been modified with the center filler that are so expensive. plus i'm getting a new polished aluminum flip-top filler!

The mudflaps I got at NAPA for $6 a pair!!! They look (and work) GREAT!

I'm going to make my own front lip. I'm going to get it all designed, and then make it over spring break. Just gonna be fiberglass, but I'm going to try to mimick the V.4 front lip as close as possible... make it match the sideskirts and spats real nice like.

installed stainless steel brake lines in the FRONT today, the back I have to wait until I can get a part from Goodridge. The guy I got them from lost the part.

Rocking 03 WRX seats now!!!

They are inevitably for the buggy, but won't go on that until this summer when I replace the floorpans (since the seats in it now are welded on).

So for now they are in the Subaru, and its gonna be HARD to take them out. They are soooo nice! God they're comfortable.

And the drivers seat is height adjustable!

I got a sweet ass deal on them too, and I'm also getting WRX front brakes from the same guy (in the same deal with the seats) although I won't get those for a few days.

Goodridge is officially the BEST company ever. I know of no other company that would look out for their customer like this.

anybody who has mods on their car would never be able to add up all the money they've put into it. yes maybe it adds up to be a brand new car, but modifying your car is what makes it yours. its all aobut personalizing it.

But no, I have not spent NEARLY as much as you think. I am VERY thrifty when it comes to my cars, I get good parts but at good prices!

Nice dude, I was lookin for some used rotors and calipers forever, never found them, and got scared of the money I was saving... so I spent it on the sti pedals, tranny mount, and front lip... haha woops!

Now you just need the turbo rears and you'll be done!

Picked up a WRX axleback exhaust today. I need to rotate the flange before I can install it, but its in great shape! $20! The car will sound stock again (sad) but look really nice. It only takes like 5 minutes to swap them though, so I can just put on whatever muffler I'm in the mood for every week.

I also got my RS front bumper and bumper beam today. The bumper skin needs a little tender love and care before I can put it on, but I'll get on that. Paid $150 for the bumper and beam, not too shabby!

Old school imprezas? I found mine by calling each dealership in the seattle area (carter, auburn, bellevue one?) and told them what I was looking for, whenever they got them in, they'd call me.

Ehh dealerships know they're rare, so they usually jack up the price, expecially if they know afew people are looking for them... I bought mine for 13k out the door at a dealership, private sales usually are around 10, depending on the condition

If you do find a private seller, definatly make sure they have a clean title, there are tons of guys tryin to sell salvaged RS's

 
yeah, what he said. RS's are getting pretty hard to come by, people don't like to sell them!

You can get non-RS's (e.g. Brighton, or L like mine) for DIRT cheap in great shape. Like a mid 90's 2.2 would be great. Just be wary of BIG miled cars (like over 150k).

I'm new at welding, and my first attempt was only slightly succesful today. Tomorrow I'm gonna redo it, and hopefully can get it on ok (talking about my new exhaust). But its looks great and sounds great on there! Will be a nice break from BRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (
