I would think that they would include the coupon in with the skis when they ship.... smart.

This is absolutely devastating to read aside from Logan stepping it up and hooking up a few people so they can get back on the slopes. Following on his coattails, we're happy to offer at least something to help out more of our fellow shredders. It won't be as good as free skis but I think you'll be stoked non-the-less.
Go ahead and send us a PM and we're happy to work out heavy discounts for as many as we can that are affected by this situation. All you'll need is a proof of purchase from Revision and we shall go from there.
I'll be out of the office Wednesday and Thursday so expect a response at some point Friday. Thanks!

13783641:avarda said:I woke up this morning to see that I had an email from Revision in my inbox. Tbh I was stoked because of reading that at least one person had received an email re; shipping of their skis.
The email was as follows: "Hi Anthony,
Hope your having a fun week!
Cheers,
Your friends at Revision Skis."
You have got to be kidding me.... so the 'revision team' has time to send out marketing material YET cant even give people an update on where the skis that they have already paid money for are at!!! What a joke this is. Cannot believe they would send a slap in the face like this (actually, after the last few months I can believe it).

it's not a scam in the true sense of the word. very bad business practices and total lack of communication, yeah. scam is an informal word for fraud, trick, stuff like that
the email was almost certainly an automated one, or at least written by someone completely disconnected from the sourcing problem side of things. you really think some dude at the company ignored the other emails and wrote that one as a one-off? come on...use your head
i know this is a big ordeal and i feel really bad for a lot of you without skis and no communication from the company...it's a joke...but some of you are treating this like chicks watch reality tv, hungrily gobbling up the drama and delighting in every new day and week with no delivered skis because it gets your drama bone going

Ordered some Blinks against my better judgement around Jan 18th and sent out a few emails asking about shipping dates. 3 emails later and not any response from them at all.
Oh man...
13783658:skitheleast said:Well how else are they gonna spend the time that was supposed to be spent skiing? They need something to do since they don't have skis.
13783659:Session said:You think that Revision is of the size that there is someone disconnected from the sourcing problem? Are you fucking kidding me? The "company" is likely less than 5 people. Don't be so obtuse.
13784070:cobra_commander said:Has anyone not filed a fraud complaint with their bank/cc company?
If so you should.
13784083:angrygramps said:I'm pretty glad I didn't.
13784086:cobra_commander said:Did you take your revisions to the hill today?
13784117:angrygramps said:yep. not the ones i ordered but the set i got off warranty last year after they replaced the set that fell off my car because i didn't close the box. absolutely no reason they had to replace them but they did.
you can bet your last dollar i will take the new set up in two days when they're arriving.
I'm glad I'm going to get the skis i wanted. I'm glad i don't have to deal with the bank calling me and telling me the fraud charge i filed isn't actually fraud and that they're now taking back all the money i just spend on another set of skis. I'm glad most of all i can finally ignore this damn thread.
The way they handled this sucks. their customer service through this has be abysmal and people have the right to be pissed. the fraud charge might be the best option for some people, but I'm not one of those people and I'm stoked to ride on my skis. if your not stoked on my skis, whatever because they're my skis and you never have to ride them.
13784237:hoodwinkh said:Mmm, so I'm probably with you. All in all, I'd rather get the skis, that's where my priorities lie with this entire enterprise of buying skis after all. Do they deserve a mass evaporation of orders from fraud complaints? Absolutely, but I'm not going to, what's the phrase, bite my nose off to spite my face. We all wanted the skis or we wouldn't be here, and I think they've gotten the backlash they deserve (maybe they deserve a bit more).
@The earlier dude: I was thinking 'I feel like this is a bad idea but I can't believe it can get any worse, at least I'll *eventually* get the skis.' It was a gamble, of course, even though I didn't know then what I know now.
Update: I got the following email after emailing them for a fourth time:
'Hello Oliver,
Our apologies for any delay you have experienced in the shipping of your ski order. We have begun receiving skis into our warehouse for inspection and fulfillment. Upon completion of inspection, we will begin shipping skis according to the model, size, and order date. We will update you as to the progress of your order via adding notes to your order.
Sincerely,
Edward
Revision Skis'
A little bit lacking in humanity but there's a half-baked apology in there. Might have to reply back to Edward and tell him myself. Perhaps they really are trying to plough through the swamp of shit that's now ebbing around them. Plough to me you fucks, plough to me with those beautiful skis and a voucher or two.
13784245:turnt_table said:I got the same email today and didn't realize it was some sort of mass email and not a reply to me since I emailed them yesterday asking where the skis at.
Also, I can confirm that some skis are starting to ship as of 2/1/17.

13784428:Jibberino said:So it's not a scam if you pay for something and you don't get it? Gotcha.
Nothing you can say or do will change the fact that Revision has borderline scammed these people. And like someone said "someone disconnected from the sourcing problem" dude, really? You must also realise that at this point this is well beyond a sourcing problem.
13784506:ShimsPurred said:its a scam dude. they said shipment early jan, they lied with no customer support.
why are you defending their company.
Its a time scam, I've missed basically my whole season now without powder skis.
get a life, you sound like a middle aged feminist Hillary supporter.

13784540:Static said:I wonder what they did with the 1st batch of skis with non-bamboo cores. Rather than ship those out to give their customers something to ride on, they probably decided to hold onto them to use as warranty replacements.
13784549:SofaKingSick said:i imagine that if they did not accept them as the product from the factory, they do not have possession of them to do anything with. idk tho
13784725:isak.frykman said:Got this email about 3 hours ago while I was sleeping:
"Hello,
We have received your new skis at our warehouse in Denver and are in the process of checking in inventory and beginning to ship skis out for all orders received. When your skis have been packaged up for shipment, you will receive an email update showing your order as ‘completed’. Then, you will receive a tracking number for your shipment via email once they are picked up by the carrier.
Thanks for your patience, we hope you enjoy your new skis!"
13784898:jbond3 said:SO, I had already contacted my bank and I've already been refunded for the money that I've spent with this awful company. However, I still received my confirmation email. So free skis possibly coming my way?
I don't know what to do here exactly. I don't want to be a trashball, but at the same time Revision held onto my money for over 6 months so I woundn't feel too bad holding onto their skis for at least 6 months as well.
Anybody else in the same boat or have any thoughts on what to do here?
