Lot of fuckin bandwagon Timberwolves fans in Minnesota right now! My friend and I have been joking how we would bandwagon for whoever won Nuggets vs Wolves, but at least when everyone in MN gave up hope after game 5, I was still supporting them.

I flew to MN to watch game 6, ended up with 2 extra tickets you could hardly even give them away, I listed them below face value the resale site minimum price and still they didn’t sell. Friends in Denver were noticing how you could fly to Minnesota and buy a ticket cheaper than just going to a game in Denver because Minnesota doesn’t actually care about bball nor do they have faith in their teams.

but now that the Wolves won the series, everyone out in full force like they always been behind the Wolves… Im just a tad salty I had to waste $200 on tix to what should have been a once in a lifetime/can't miss event but now everyone’s a fan now…

I cannot stand that the term pen no longer means an instrument for writing, many people think the pen i posted to my instagram story is a dab pen including parents of friends asking if it is for weed and when they could test it despite my model having no indication of a heating element. even people that i tell in person i make pens think it is for weed.

i remember in 2014 telling people i was building 3d printers would immediately turn into a conversation about the “ghost guns” they heard about on tv news lol

honestly milling some well designed dab pen batteries could be a solid business, most of the ones they sell at dispos are fugly and impossible to clean

the interest in my pen has sparked some ideas of branching into the weed accessory market despite me not being a weed enthusiast. what printers were you building then?

Had a buddy that was doing PHD biomed research. Designed and 3d printed a nifty little...cone filler I guess you would call it? Nothing overly

He is now researching what to do with all of his money.
 
Today I learned that one of the services we routinely do in surgery, is not covered by insurance and patients are paying $750+ out of pocket for it.

Here’s the thing… I collect the blood. I run the machine. And I inject the product. The doctor does NOTHING and is getting all this money just for saying “do this procedure.”

So I just learn about the cost today and wonder why it isn’t covered by insurance… wait for it

ITS NOT EVEN FDA APPROVED. The equipment we use is FDA approved, but there is such a lack of evidence that this procedure is effective that it isn’t approved.

Crazy.

I have more research to do, but everything I’ve found so far has shown statistically insignificant results or anecdotal evidence (which does have its value but not $750 out of pocket for each injection type value).

Anyways… do your research friends. I have a lot of respect for my surgeon coworkers and don’t want to assume the worst. I hope I find research that shows this is actually useful in a practical sense and not just something that sounds good on paper.

Had the night off. Was driving to Bishop to get some meat pies, beers and skate a couple parks. Got called into work. Was kind of a bitchy call in but whatever. Turned around and went in.

Friggin cat has its tiller off, dont know where said tiller is. Find it. Easy enough to put on. But it was on a huge steep bad and its hot. I was spinning tracks trying to get to it. Not super helpful when being precise to line it up and pick it.

Got er done finslly and got over to the parks. Instantly start getting bitched at about stupid bullshit.

Idk what goes through some peoples heads. Regardless if you're even trying to convey real information and not just being bitchy(more the second) being an ass doesn't make anyone work better. So even if it was conctructive(not really) if it brings the level of work down, slows things down, and brings morale down you're doing it wrong.

It's wild the talent people have at taking the wind out of sails. Oh you're motovated to work hard and put in a bunch of extra effort? Let me make you not give a shit and want the season to end asap.

I mean it makes sense. Who cares about the program as long as you csn stroke your ego and boss some people around.

Idk, it is what it is, the industrys has definitely been worse but it's not the vibe I'm trying to deal with these days.

I made a thread about this a bit ago, but I’m just not in love with my girlfriend anymore and I feel like shit about it, because I make her so happy, but I’m not happy and that makes me like resent her which isn’t fair. Like she doesn’t deserve to be hurt but I know I have to because it’s the only right decision to make. It just sucks honestly :(

i had a buddy who was like this. told me he was going to break up with his gf and he needed to have a talk about things. he was very articulate but still approached it with compassion. the conversation led to a few days or some tough followup conversations and they ended up discussing what each needed and reassessed if they felt they could do it together. they are now still in their relationship and seemingly happy. i think having that initial heavy conversation also opened the door for them to have these talks

meanwhile i was unhappy in my relationship and just lied to myself and said i wasn’t. i had so much resentment that could have been avoided had we talked about shit more. but instead i tried to hide my resentments and only let them come out when i was blackout drunk flipping off my wife. turns out thats not the best way to address issues.

my way was way fuckin worse lmao. you could consider manning up and confessing why you aren’t feelin it and start a hard conversation, give her time to process, and come back with another hard conversation.
 
I had to wait for a prescription to get called in. Was already gonna be late for work but whatever. Went right to the pharmacy. They just started lunch lol.

Also this rite aid has the worst fucking music ever. I come here to buy beer usually and even in that 2 min its rough. Now im sitting hear bored listening to their awful jams. I dont know if I've heard one song here this season that didn't make me want to fight someone.

I need to find better studying tactic. It seems like studying the whole course on a day before the exam doesn't work well.

I get avarage grades with that tactic but that is not what I'm used to get.

I don't know what would be the same-ish course over there but I have 4th course of "long" maths. It's about vectors and analytical geometry.

I'm scared of calculus next year.
