Rant About Whatever

If it makes you feel better about the FAA thing I don't think that sounds like bipolar at all. Bipolar is usually 2 week+ extreme depressive episodes throughout the year, and more rarely week+ long manic episodes with very little sleep and hyperfocus/euphoria. I doubt the FAA would care about mild anxiety with depression, but yeah still worth talking someone about

Hey, not all kinds of bipolar include mania. Type 2 has hypomania rather than full blown, and rapid cycle can be a thing too. J, sounds like depression for sure, is there a way you can talk to a dr or someone without it getting to the FAA?

I lived in Israel for 3 years back in 2013-2016, so far all of my friends are alive, and they've all been called up from the reserves. It pains me to see how utterly ignorant liberal America, and the US in general is when it comes to the issue to the point where on Oct 7th I see friends and acquaintances posting on their gram "I support Palestine" and being totally oblivious to the fact that not only are a massive portion of the civilians of Palestine supportive of Hamas' actions that day, but the ones who aren't are used as pawns of those murderous kleptocratic governments.

People, particularly the liberal group in the US, love supporting an underdog regardless of what actually occurred or is going on, and it's personal for me because I lived there, know what goes on, and have friends who may be going into the worst possible battlefield I could imagine in Gaza where they will face drone warfare, and the rampant use of human shields by Hamas in an urban setting while Hamas fights out of the tunnels they've spent the last 15 years building and operating out of under civilian infrastructure.

I’m sorry to hear man. I know some people who spent time in Israel, my neighbor lived their his whole childhood and just visited like 2 weeks before it went down. Luckily his family is safe.

It does piss me off too, it’s straight up homicide to innocent people that both sides are doing, but to people saying they “support Palestine” after they killed women and children is sick in the head.

Its one of those situations where I see it as both sides being pretty messed up, fighting some pointless religious war.

Hope your homies are alright, can’t even imagine what they’re going through.

i hate that anyone would take a disctinctive side. it's not black and white. both sides are doing bad things, isn't it enough to just say "i support the innocent civilians"? also people need to realize that hamas kills palestinians too. hope your friends are safe.

is it not the actions of isreal and continued expansion that give people reason to root against them?

Hope anyone who isn't actively championing hate against the other side/different religion is safe.

I'd put some stock in the vacation thing. Fall seems to be when most of the outdoor industry goes on vacation. I don't think my team of six has all been all together since August. They know they got time. Doesn't mean it's not super frustrating for you though, job hunting sucks and getting dragged out is worse.

i live on a gravel road and pulled out this morning, and two atvs were heading the opposite direction. I stayed at about 25 mph and was moved over a little but not much since im pretty sure they should have to move over more then me, just for the reason that im in the car. they were driving right in the middle of the road and gave me the bird on their way past. Of course he had american flag decals and welding gloves on

I agree, that the ultra orthodox and settlers in the West Bank need to be stopped, and I denounce them. But it is far more complicated an issue than can be described in a reply.

I'm by no means a fan of Israel in general, for a variety of reasons. But Hamas (and many of the civilians of Gaza) are orders of magnitude worse in terms of hatred and violence.

I'm with you that any Americans posting and protesting in support of them right now are out of their fucking minds

To continue the level of toxicity you must sleep with one of her friends. And dm it to her.

or just do the man shit. Block her and find someone better.

i could just screen record our texts and send it to her dad. Me and Him are buds, he texts me about bike stuff even tho me and her haven’t been together for a month and a half. She didn’t even tell him we ended, and when he was dropping off my sister on hoco he asked if i’d be coming over to the party Maeve was hosting. She specifically told me not to go but told all our friends i was invited and just didn’t want to go ?

and blow her in for getting in the car with a drunk driver who got pulled over, or drunk driving. Or the numerous drunk calls crying after i told her i was done even trying to stay friends after because she refused to treat me like a person or knowledge me even tho she “wanted to go back to before”

yeah dude tell her dad. i would want to know if my daughter was a toxic whore. don't sleep with one of her friends to get back, that just makes you as bad as her. but you're doing her dad a favor by telling him imo.

i did the opposite with my ex wife. changed her contact to ? lol. but i deleted all conversations pics etc. now shes blocked as well. for awhile the boundary was to only call in an emergency but i cant think of an instance where i would be the call so i blocked her cause she would only call drunk.

That’s shitty of her but don’t do that. Sucks but just block her and move on. You need to fully cut her out

my parents want me to learn financial responsibility but they refuse to get me a debit card, and they never will. i won't have one until i turn 18. so i never spend any money, so it doesn't have any value to me.

should i spend $730 on new flylow clothes? i need something new and it's hard to find stuff. every single year my stupid dad is like "oh we should have gotten stuff in march because that's when there's sales and then it can be affordable" but he never does. keep in mind i have no way to spend my money so i can't take advantage of this. so when the season comes around and we have to start buying things there's no sales on anything good.

october is a great time to get last years inventory cheap. also, when i was in high school i was only allowed to have an atm card. that way if i wanted to make a purchase i had to make the additional step of going to an atm. that way young pabs couldn’t make impulse purchases and my parents digged that

now i make lofty impulse purchases like bikes and skis etc. i didnt learn a hod damn thing from having that atm card lol but something you could pitch to your rents if you really wanted to

Drove to North Carolina and back this past weekend and one of my friends really got on my fucking nerves. The drive down was fine but on the way back he was just acting like a child.

First he just leaves his edibles on the dash when we stop to get food, which is hella illegal in NC. I ask him to put it away and he almost refuses and keeps asking what the point is like he just wants the unnecessary risk of having something in plain view that CLEARY has weed in it.

Then he's the first one to start the drive back and is really not a great driver, riding the lines and whatnot and camping in the left lane, getting passed on the right, and fiddling with the music he insisted on having instead of just skipping the songs he doesn't was to listen to on a 70 mph highway. We're giving him shit for it too because obviously I don't want to crash and everyone hates left lane campers. We're also playing car games because they're fun and he keeps getting annoyed at us cuz we were being too loud or some shit. Dude ends up getting so pissed off that he jerks the wheel and slams on the breaks in the middle of the highway and swerves off onto the shoulder. Like you don't almost crash my car then park not 2 feet off of a busy highway cuz you're salty act like a fucking adult.

He only drove for an hour and a half and an hour after almost getting us in an accident he refuses to get back in the middle and instead forces the 6'5" kid to squish in there after insisting multiple times throughout the weekend that he could be in the middle the entire time after driving. The kid also keeps getting mad at us for playing car games cuz we're trying to stay awake on a 10 hour drive when its dark out and we have 5 hours left to go.

I get that he's tired and is sore and overall doesn't feel great but everyone else feels exactly the same. If you don't want to drive anymore then say that and pull over safely and let everyone else in the car try to enjoy the ride instead of trying to kill us then complaining the whole time.

A couple decent options there? I didn't look through jackets too much but if you search 2022 jacket on flylows site you'll see a bunch of options on sale.

If you're willing to rock the "flamingo" pale pink colourway the baker bib is on steep and cheap for $193 or something.

Not indiscriminately launching thousands of rockets and killing hundreds of civilians in just about the most barbaric ways possible while normalization is being pursued would be a start.

I think that this has been a real mask off moment for most of the (farther) left. The unwillingness to condemn a group and it's actions that negatively effect both the Palestinian and Israeli people. Acting as a mouthpiece for terrorists in the case of multiple reputable news organizations in the last week and quite literally posting "fake news". Using history as a justification where it is convenient, and ignoring history when it is not. All to justify attrocity and draw a moral equivalency where there is none.

The list of Israel's sins is long, and one can absolutely be critical of Israel. But if that is the case criticism of Hamas, and to an extent the Palestinians in Gaza is warranted as well.
