If you got a Costco member ship, Ascent protein powder is insanely good, and cheap for the quality. I think 4 lbs for 40-50 bucks

Yeup! Only about 4 hours from me so I have been through quite a bit. First time fishing there though. Staying right on ten sleep creek and it sounds like it's some decent pocket fishing.

Bummed I am not climbing. Might bring the gear just in case my fiance or fishing buddy decide they want to belay me. Stoked to go to Ten Sleep Brewing as well. Buffalo is a super dope town though. I dig it.
 
My good work buddy is moving to SLC in October to work at Solitude with like half of the ski school staff at Granby Ranch lol, go get em big dawgs. They're gonna be mindblown working at an actual ski resort for once.

Man, I miss the fuck out of that place still. One year ago I was driving across the country back to MI and one year later we're in Colorado. Life is a really fuckin strange but also fun trip.

My evening climbing will definitely beat that. It doesn't sound fun at all Drinking in our way is to drink until you are black out drunk. Peeing in to every corner of the city is terrible. Trashing is terrible. They don't even clean it up like the students after matday. Literal human trash goes into this festival.(and the music is shit). I don't understand why the city gives permission for this festival. It causes lot of trouble. Me and every +40yo is complaining about it every year.

He never responded to any of my messages and we didn't talk until move in day. Ended up being one of my best friends and we lived together all 4 years of college.

Also, the best advice I received as a freshman was don't immediately pressure yourself into thinking you have to make your "best friends" as soon as you get there. Give it some time, meet lots of people and see what relationships form organically. Being on a sports team should make it super easy for you to make social connections/party/grow your network, but just enjoy the ride!!

college lore starting already. I was told to clean my room before i move in tmr. There was mold where my fish tank used to be and I dumped bleach all over it and then spread it with a mop. Left it there to kill the mold or what ever. IT MELTED THE FINISH ON OUR HICKORY FLOORS AND MY MOM JUST ABOUT MURDERED ME. i had no clue bleach could even do that, now she and my dad r freaking out because they don’t know if they can get the millworks to make similar hickory boards because its enough our left over boards won’t cover it. I actually can’t wait to move in tmr tho! I’ll keep y’all posted, knowing me the dorm might burn down or something

Unless the bleach soaked way into the wood and discolored it, you can refinish wood floors. Even if it's discolored, you can probably stain it close enough

This seems like a big overreaction by your parents

they’re just stressed with me going to school for sure. woods still a lil wet but not trashed it’s just the finish and stain i think
 
New nike sb video is insane. Multiple tricks I've never seen done before in the first 5 minutes. It's absurd though to have no names for a 45 minute video. Nonstop tricks by nameless skaters just makes it not very interesting to watch for such a long video imo. I don't follow skating that closely anymore, so have no idea who 90% of the skaters were and never will.

I always thought that was dumb too, you don't need names under every clip but one or two shots with names for each skater/skier is a good thing imo
 
I need career advice… I’ve been doing an internship with a medium sized engineering firm this summer and I mindlessly told them I’d consider working for them after school earlier this summer. But now they’re being really adamant about me staying with them and I’m not sure if I want to. I didn’t really enjoy what I did for them this summer, and I want to move to a different part of the state because I’m so bored of where I live now. I feel like if I stayed with them, I’d never leave my hometown.

I don’t think I’d have too much trouble finding a job with a different firm somewhere else so I’m not too worried, but I feel bad about breaking the news to my boss and my coworkers because of the effort they put into me. But I’m going into my senior year so I gotta decide soon.

I think you already know the answer to this question. Any time you leave a job where your coworkers are decent is kind of a bummer, remaining people have to pick up slack and help train a new employee, but it is what it is. You are just an intern if you know you want to live somewhere else better do it now when you have less commitments in the area and hopefully your boss will write you a good recommendation

Your happiness is more important than pleasing coworkers. If you’re happy work won’t feel like a burden. Look for something else. Especially if you’re confident you’ll get a better opportunity.
 
just puttin it out there whitewater kayaking gets the adrenaline pumping real good.

tried it out this weekend with my family guiding me and it was a rush i havent felt since attempting cork 7. could very easily become my new summer sport.

if you are in ottawa area i urge you to go to whitewater region it is a world class spot and so much fun.

I also witnessed some mad paddlers doing flips while surfing waves. my dad said it is called a kickflip but holy fuck I am in awe.

It's cool as fuck. Dropping waterfalls is hardcore. It also eats shoulders, lot of people have to stop because their shoulders can't take it anymore. My father for exampe will suffer serious nerve damage is his shoulder gets fucked up once again.
