Just want to give a big fuck you to you people who don't tip your waiter/pizza guy/bartender

Either....

a) Stay the fuck home

b) Get off your lazy ass and go pick it up yourself

If you received fast, friendly service then there really is no excuse.

Lots of folks might say...."Well hey maybe he or she should get a better paying job"..... Ask yourself this: How easy would it be for you yourself to quit your current job, and then find one that pays better? Easier said then done fuckhead.

Not to mention that almost all delivery drivers use their own cars, their own gas, pay for insurance/repairs on their vehicle and almost always make sub minimum wage.

So If you don't want to shell out two or three extra bucks then fuck you, right up your stupid, cheap asshole.

a good way to make a livable amount of money with limited time is through tips, however tips are estimated and taxed based on food sales most of the time. so if you don't tip your service-person than they have to pay for it out of their own pockets. It's an easy industry to get extremely bitter in
 
True, but if you take the example in particular of the barman and the waiter, the amount of time (additional to included service charge dependent on where you are) is based on you and how you portray yourself to the customer.

If you become overly self absorbed and bitter then the inevitable will happen. Then you find yourself in the shitty decline of being bitter so you are less likeable so get tipped a little less so you become more bitter etcetcetc. Being a pizza guy is a hit and miss thing, but that's well known, so deal with it - at the end of the day, like you said, it's only hurting your pocket.
 
As a line cook I approve of this message. I get tips too. Workin my ass off for ungreatful assholes.

the amount of time is more like the quality of service that reflects on a persons payout. Any person with common sense saves said bitterness for after work or a break, or instead of having shitty tips you just get fired. People complain about shitty service. That's pretty much the only reason for the job so if you suck at it, you get canned.
 
As a server i approve this message. 20% is what i tip always. Even if i dont get amazing service i still tip 20% because i know how it feels to get a good tip.
 
Why the fuck should a pizza delivery guy get a tip. There is no fucking social interaction. They sit there and drive their shitty car and he paid for it.

there's a lot of positions that absolutely do not deserve a tip (which I look at as a reward for going above and beyond what the paid part of your job is, or being extra kind or helpful). However, I will always tip them anyways because that's just how this country is.
 
i always tip extra to try and make up for the cheap bastards who can afford to go out but cant afford 2-20 dollars extra for your sever
 
i always tip unless it's shitty service, i.e. rude or straight up dumb. most of them are making exactly or below minimum wage so those tips do help

I worked as a cook for six years in the industry and servers and bartenders would get paid tips along with similar wages and make much more usually than the cooks and chefs and it often felt that they were the ones appreciated for our hard work and skills when they have no skills and did not do anything but take our food out to a table

Not one waitress I've ever worked with made minimum wage. The average is around $2/hr because they're expected to earn tips. By not tipping because your cheap ass thinks youre too special or that "they make enough" you're totally fucking them over.

If you can't or don't tip, please tell your server that ahead of time so you can get the service you really deserve.

If you can afford to go out to eat, you can afford to tip. The pleasure of your presence isn't enough to compensate your server for their time.
 
They don't tip in Europe so they need to make more in their hourly pay. Besides they have to fcking deal with euro trash so they make even more haha
 
Why tip someone for a job I'm capable of doing myself? I can deliver food. I can drive a taxi. I can, and do, cut my own hair. I did, however, tip my urologist because I am unable to pulverize my own kidney stones.

I've worked in a few restaurants an one Hugh end place- never brought home a check with more than $12 left on it since the taxes come out of your paycheck first.

I don't think a lot of people really realize that you pretty much ONLY get tips working as a server unless you're makin a lot hourly.
 
Ill tip 10-15% when I go out to eat at a restaurant, maybe a little more, if i get great service. I NEVER tip anyone else unless they really go out of their wayt o provide great service. For example, my car broke down last week and the kid who owned the garage really helped me out and got my car to pass inspection. He charged me 50 bucks but I gave him 100 buck tip just because he helped me out so much and saved me so much money.

OP is just a bitter bitch. We should you tip a fucking delivery guy for walking a pizza to your fucking door when you already pay a crapload extra for delivery fees? Dont make sense. Ill give you the change not going to give you like 10 bucks. OP get over yourself. Tons of kids, incluing myself work during the school year. Get a better job you whining bitch
 
Best gig I had was in college when I made 8/hr delivering pizzas + tips. Would come home with a lot of money after working 6pm-3 am. Guys were absolute dicks though and I walked out before beating the guy up and getting arrested. Lol

I worked service/tip jobs for a solid 7-8 years until recently and I hope to never do it again hah. I tip 20% every time unless the service is terrible, then I'll tip 15. People work their asses off in those jobs.
 
Wait so you don't get that he's probably got 8 pies to deliver? I always overtip a delivery guy and thank him for being as fast as possible so he jets my food over first! Fuck being the douchey non tipper who gets his shit dead last and probably cold- which is what you've just earned for yourself by being a twat.

Trust me, after working in a restaurant for years- you want to be the guy who over tips. They get by far the best service. Servers literally fight over regulars who tip well.

Huck I'm starting my serving job this week. Any advice? I'm strong and have a good personality irl (gasp) and can work hard. Biggest worry is carrying food and dropping it lol. Doing it til I find a permanent job in my field or go back to school.
 
That is retarded. I make $9.20/hr but with tips its close to $15/hr.

I work in a drive through coffee stand. When I work with a girl whos a bitch i make shit for tips. My two other coworkers and I always double what we make when we are with her. Shitty service doesnt deserve to be rewarded.

All youre doing is commending their poor customer service. Dont tip em and maybe they will learn.

I leave 0% fairly often. Bring me my food with a smile and pretend to be happy to serve me otherwise you dont get shit.

I dont expect tips. They are a bonus for doing my job well and making the customer smile
 
I always tip. I worked at a "5 star" restaurant where I was a servers assistant. I made $8 and hour while they made like $2.30. Of course they would pull in over $100 in tips a night but thats still barely enough to live.
 
As a caddy I make all my money off tips and I definitely get some cheap fucks. It's one thing to be unbelievable golfers and make my job easy and pay 140-150 a round but I hate when I get shitty golfers and they don't pay at least 80 a bag.

Then again I get guys like George Stephanopoulos (claim) who paid 200 just for his bag
 
I think its funny how Americans expect a tip..... In Europe most people dont tip...an in america you dont leave enough an they get all butthurt...

that's because in europe the service charge for the server is included in the price, and in america it is not...

the only people who don't tip are immature douches who pretend they dont understand this cause theyre cheapskates. just consider it part of the charge of eating out/getting delivery....cause IT IS
 
I was a waitress for two years at a college pizza shop. Only made $4.50 an hour plus tips, so yeah. If you don't tip that's just rude, there would be some really slow nights that I wouldn't even make minimum wage.BUT I did have a couple at a table during a football game leave me a $50 tip because they liked me so much. That was awesome.
 
Let me just preface this post by saying I am pretty generous with tips 99% of the time. 20% at restaurants, tips on every drink at the bar if paying cash, etc. With that said, you still need to earn your tip. You don't need to go above and beyond the call of duty or some stupid shit like that, but you have to get my order written down right, come around periodically to ask if I want another drink/refill, and at least pretend to be personable. You're not getting a good tip for pushing me in and out as fast as possible, never considering that maybe, yeah, I wanted a second beer, or if my food is cold because you left it sitting around to talk to your work pals. Just because you're a "poor waitress" doesn't get you a tip, hon. Do your fucking job. That's all you have to do.
 
I should also mention that I have only not left a tip once, and the bitch completely deserved it. I gave her a buck on a 6 dollar drink, which wasn't great, but meh. She looked down at it and said, "I hope you're gonna tip better than that tonight or you're going dry." I told her I didn't have much cash on me and was about to open a tab, but would help her out later. Made her serve me every time I came to the bar that night and ran up about 85 bucks on my tab, then wrote "fuck you." on the tip line with a nice, big smiley face. Handed it to her with a wink and walked out with her yelling behind me. Hahaha I've never felt so satisfied to piss someone off. I'm laughing just thinking about it now. Never, ever ask for a tip. If you deserve one, you'll get it.
