Official The Walking Dead Season 4 Thread

I thought Rick's accent in sunday's episode was horrendous. It's like he was trying out for hte next batman role or something and tried to mimic christian bale. Did he get his jaw broken in the governor fight maybe? That's the only excuse for how bad he sounded I can think of...

All other episodes I dig rick's accent, last episode just seemed wayyyy over the top
 
pretty good episode tonight. i hope they stay on the move for a while before settling down in to the boring daily routine bs that was the farm and the prison.
 
i wondered about that too, but then i looked and noticed that the lid was down so he wasn't shitting. idk why he was just chillin in the bathroom though?
 
So far I've been pleasantly surprised with this season. There's legit danger, but we still have character development. I hope this trend continues
 
I noticed there were boots right beside the toilet. Maybe he was just sittin down to take his boots off?
 
He probably didn't wanna get choked out for the child size bed and decided to nap on the crapper.

Also I really liked the scene with Rick under the bed. I was thinking how at this point, 1.5 years after the outbreak, I would be more afraid of people than walkers. Can't trust them, they are unpredictable. Walkers you know them by now and know what to do with them.
 
definitely a good episode, felt a lot more comic-bookish. especially the three new characters with glenn, im stoked to see where that plot will go. so we know rick, michonne and carl will wind up probably meeting tyreese, carol and those girls and judith soon. And presumably glenn and those other four people whos names I cant remember will meet up with maggie, sasha and the black army medic guy. which just leaves beth and daryl?
 
I think that well see the Carol and Tyreese group meet up with Rick group soon. They obviously liked the awkwardness between Carol and Tyreese so I think they'll keep going and add Rick to the equation. I wonder how they will play that one out..

I think Daryls group might meet up with Maggies.

I don't think Glenn is gonna hook back up with Maggie for awhile. They said they drove for 3 hours past the bus which means they are probably days away from anywhere near Maggie.

tonight's episode was pretty good. although i must say, Daryl pulled a pretty brainless move by just ripping the door open at the cemetery house like that. first of all, he could hear the dog barking and the pots clinging, but couldn't hear the massive zombie hoard groaning? and really, middle of the zombie apocalypse and you don't even bother to check who's at the door first?

who grabbed Beth? was that a hurst they drove off in?

what about daryl's new group? those dudes look like trouble for sure....
 
Yea I wasn't surprised he didn't check because of the show but that was very stupid. In the real world you don't make those mistakes.

I don't think they were driving a hearse, though I think that the cemetery was a trap that those people who grabbed her set. The food and everything was too perfectly placed.

The new group that Daryl found, are they the same that were running up on Rick when he was hiding under the bed? It really looked like the same type of people. I hope he kills them all and finds Beth. I don't think hes gonna go back to his old ways and just follow a bunch of fuckers around.
 
Yeah that leader guy look pretty much the same, from what I can remember as the guy from the one that was stood outside when Rick was trying to get away.

Solid last episode I thought.
 
I think they'll get to Terminus in at least 2 episodes. I don't see how long they can draw out people who are already heading there more than 1 more episode. The only way I see them doing it is by following Daryl and Beth's situation, then showing Tyreese and Carol for a bit, they haven't been shown for awhile so they don't need to be very close to Terminus.
 
I could see them drawing it out exactly how you mentioned. We know next episode is tyrese/menstruation gang centric. They already wasted two episodes on darryl/young blonde, they could easily waste another on glenn and his new buddies or darryl and friends and then another on rick/carl before even sniffing Terminus. That's 3 episodes right there and there are only 3 left in the season...I agree with figs up there - it could be next season before they see terminus. Kind of like how they "saw" the prison in the ending of season 2

This show sucks so hard...why the fuck do I keep watching it? Cosmos is on at the same time, with no more true detective I don't think watching dead gets the 9pm slot from me...
 
Cosmos was awesome man. Someone should make a thread about that so we can talk about that in there and not in here.

That show was so cool. Our sun was created on my moms birthday according to the cosmic calender. And according to the cosmic calender, the human race has only been alive for one hour!? WHAT THE FUCK. The show was full of awesome and that ship that Neil is riding around on is so nerdly awesome.
 
just watched cosmos on couchtuner. sorry, but walking dead doesn't get bumped for that one. still watching walking dead on tv and will catch cosmos on the internet later...
 
I will still watch TWD too. But Cosmos is awesome also, just not one of those shows I feel I need to watch live, DVR then watch Monday. They also rerun it on NatGeo Mondays at 10
 
this thread made me watch Cosmos. I dug it, NDT is a dope host for it. I think future episodes will continue to focus on astrology and physical cosmology, but itd be cool if they got into the theoretical phys side of things too, more along the lines of Stephen Hawkings books and the whole speed of light "twin paradox" relativity shit. i dont know the techincal terms
 
damn this show started out so good and is imo complete shit now. i simply don't care about any of the characters and honestly root for the zombies to kill them in every situation possible

oh and fuck glenn, seriously someone needs to kill that little asian bitch
 
Tonights episode was heavy. I didnt think she would kill her sister. Thought Judith was gonna get killed.

I really think the only reason Tyreese forgave Was because he saw Carol do what she did to lizzy.
 
yeah man that episode was nuts, I was shocked, but Lizzie was a psychotic little bitch, she should have been put down a while ago. look at the flowers you crazy bitch.
 
Once I heard her sister say look at the flowers, I was sure she had some mental issues prior to the outbreak....

Now if only she could have killed Carl instead of her sister.

So I just got all caught up, haven't watched an episode since the mid season premiere until today. Love where the show is headed with all the different character plot lines obviously coming together in the last episode. So, who else are we gonna lose? Tyrese? Bob? Maggie? Glenn? Rick? Carol? Someone else is gonna die, that's for sure. Stoked for the last two episodes.
 
the look at the flowers thing was actually from an earlier episode when they were at the prison, it just stuck as a way of bringing her back to "reality" I forget what episode but it was not something that she used before the outbreak.
 
Fuck this show...a 5 minute twist does not make up for an entire episode of pure shit. There are only 2 more episodes left and this is how they choose to develop the story? Didn't we already go over the mourning period where people feel bad for the walkers on Herschels farm? That was a premise of nearly an entire half season on the farm and because they can't figure out anything better to do they re-hash the idea with that psycho little girl. She's also up for worst actor award with carl barely edging her our for first.

How douchey is that guy that does the talking dead? All somber and shit before the episodes ends like that clip is going to have some profound impact on society...what a fucking queet

 
kinda disappointed in that episode. i just can't see how they're going to end this season on a bang like they have in all of the past seasons. They're usually good at leaving me on the edge of my seat with excitement about what it coming next, but I just can't see them developing that in the next couple of episodes.

as someone mentioned earlier, i have a feeling that this season is going to end with a closing shot of their arrival at that Tele...whatever place. kinda lame. i wonder if the comics are better?
 
I am more upset with this show than excited about it week after week. Nothing happens and they choose the worst kid actors of all time.

Show started out great but went downhill fast. Its a shame too because it is such a great plot idea, I just wish they knew how to fucking execute it
 
What do you all expect? They can't have a show where they go Rambo on zombies for 4 seasons... that's a zombie movie. Yes season 3 and the first half of season 4 dragged on, sucked, and was very anti climactic but I don't see why so many people have a problem with the second half of season 4. (Besides Carl being the worst kid actor on the face of the earth)

I don't see why everyone is so upset. Everyone cries for them to leave the prison, they do. Now people are bitching because...? It's not a head rolling show with zombies dying left and right? As said before, the shows not about just killing zombies, its about surviving.

I like where the show is going. Personally I think cannibals will be introduced very soon. I think Terminus will be a trap with cannibals or that Beth was taken by cannibals.

My only complaint is that they are focusing on the same mini group for entire episodes. I'd rather see them show two mini groups at a time. But I would rather the current format than sitting in the prison.
 
But that being said I'm pretty sure this season has had the most zombie killings in the whole show yet people are still whining.

This isn't some True Detective shit. This show is meant to be drawn out over multiple seasons. I like where it's headed, they are back to square one just like in the first season. And aside from Carl and Carol, most of the shitty characters have been killed off.

Darryl's stoyline just got interesting the last episode he was featured in too, it's not like its been exciting the whole season..

That episode with Darryl and the blonde in that shithole moonshine factory? Fucking garbage..We freakin get it, Darryl had a shitty childhood with a terrible father. You don't need to continue pounding that backstory down our freaking throats
 
Dude you are clueless..they have beaten that storyline about Darryl's upbringing into the ground. They mentioned it many times when they found the moonshine shack - darryl talked about how he grew up in a place like that, they talked about how they all got blasted off it when they were kids and they almost killed each other cause of some stupid shit argument with a dumb redneck. They've brought it up in episodes past talking about how Darryl's father use to beat him and Merle would take the beating instead to save his little brother. I love darryl and think he is the best character in the show as do most people, the writers of the show seem to have picked up on this and needlessly overbuilt his character into such an abused, battered soul that it's to the point of ridiculousness. WE GET IT, he had a shitty life growing up.

So much was thrown at us in season 2? Like when they sat on their thumbs at the farm for the entire season because the show ran out of money for filming?

Roasting up some good meat? In a fire the size of a neighborhood?

 
They don't just bring it up multiple times an episode..entire episodes revolve around the same god damn backstory that they keep shoving down our throats. Instead of allowing the viewer to make conclusions on their own, it's like the writers think they have to hold our hands and point at Daryl crying so we grasp that he had a shitty upbringing. This is just one blatantly obvious example of how shitty some of the writers are on the show. Like gato said there are thousands of other possibilities to write about, yet this show dumbs it wayyyy down. It's no surprise the writers in the first season either are no longer with the shower or have very limited power. To your point Carrol's character has progressed nicely, I just wish her freakin hair would grow out.

Why would you have to see the fire? You can hopefully use a little deductive reasoning, the smoke cloud was massive every time they showed it, clearly isn't some campfire a bunch of cannibals sittin around singing kumbaya...

I'm gonna spend time outside on sunday at 9pm? haha you are in the minority here defending the show...
 
Some of you are waaaaaayy to hyper-critical of this show. Like I mentioned above, I'm (and so should most people) am not looking for this show to be another Breaking Bad or True Detective cause it won't be. I watch this show to see zombies get killed and people survive, which is what they have been doing pretty consistently.

Also unlike many shows, this one kills off a lot of characters you start to get used to which I think is great. Shit they even throw in some foreshadowing (aka last ep. when Carol told the younger sister she was "too nice" which is also what she said got her daughter killed)which you can pick up on to determine whose gonna die when.

This is a show to appeal to the masses, quit acting like it has to be the defining show of our generation...
