Dnf on my first race of the year and dislocated my pinky and bruised the fuck out of my lower back and sadly couldn’t get back on the bike:(

Yesterday I was out digging at the pump track kinda by my house after school, I tested the jump I built and slammed hard but seemed fine. I packed up and rode home. After I got home I logged onto shredsauce on my phone, after about 5 minuets of playing I felt a really sharp pane in my pinky. I looked down and it turned out when I wrecked, the knuckle of my pinky dislocated and got stuck underneath my ring finger's knuckle.

Hey wise guy, there 300

miles apart lol. Imagine if a ski resort built a kicker and then another one did the same thing. The audacity!!

If any of y’all ever come to snowshoe this season hit me up. I’d love to show some fellow NSers around and make sure you get to hit all the good stuff :)

I'm headed to Virginia in October to visit some friends at William and Mary and some other place so I'll try and make a stop at snowshoe.

LOL you're having trouble finishing a trail and you're asking about which features you should add which will drastically increase the build time? Kid, you don't need "inspiration", you need a fucking work ethic. Also the gapers responding are hilarious. "DO A FISH BOWL!" "DO BIG DROPS!" hahahaha

No more than 5% grade, switchbacks, wide, bench cut, safe, flow, drainage, sustainability, nothing difficult or dangerous. Safe. Think of the children.

I know I have asked you people about buying my first ever bike but I cant remember. I am really overthinking this decision but I just want some reccs on either if I should go used or new for a bike. I grew up riding/racing BMX till i was like 13, gave it up to pursue skiing when I moved to UT, and now want some wheels. help me bros/ladies.

new or used really just depends on your budget

both are a little harder to get at the moment with supply chain crap and ppl still trying to get “covid tax” off shit bikes

New and used markets are lowkey and high key fucked in all areas. Whole lotta price gouging going on. Like crazy amounts

I got a bmx frame from 09. Its pretty cool cause theres no seat post just a mount for a pivot seat. Also no brake mounts. Super core lol. Anyway i took it apart to paint it and the bottom bracket is seized in there. Took it to my local shop and they called saying they cant get it out either. Tried using vise grips and tried putting a torch to it. Bad boy is in there. Any suggestions??

PB Blaster and some time, a fresh spline tool, a trigger clamp to hold the tool into the BB, a long breaker bar, an extra set of hands. Vice grips aren't going to give you nearly enough torque. Just don't do what I did last weekend and get punched in the face by a headtube when it finally breaks free after putting all of my weight into a 5' breaker bar and sprung back toward my face.

If you have a local bike co-op/DIY shop they may be able to help out, often people who work on a lot of shitty old seized up bikes have some good tricks for stubborn bottom brackets. I've seen some pretty seized up bbs that just needed some pb blaster and an extra set of hands, some seemed doomed to the scrap bin, but it takes a hell of a lot of corrosion to actually get to that point. I've got a seized BB out of a 40 year old bike that looked like it spent it's entire life outside, took like 3 hours of struggling and so much PB blaster that I thought I was gonna pass out from the fumes and exertion.

Worst case scenario you have to resort to more destructive measures, or welding a stub into the bb (if it's steel) that can be turned with a big breaker bar.

What kind of BB is it? pics?
