I'm about 20 minutes away from KB right now and we got hit pretty good. A solid 6inches or so on top of snowmaking. I'm going to say KB has a shot at opening too but won't.

On my way to Holiday I heard an ad on the radio and apparently Colden Ski and Board carries RMU. Kind of the last place I'd expect to be a dealer but I thought that was pretty fucking cool.
Holiday valley is open until 430 today and tomorrow. I talked to Chris perks for a bit this morning and he plans to keep the park up, even if the bunny hill closes so people can hike if the lifts close.
And for those wondering, the current setup is a flat down box, flat box, and a 15ish foot snowmaking pipe. Really fun to lap, the entire run up and down takes about a minute and a half if you do it right.

Holiday is doing a real fucking shitty job with letting people know when they're open/closed. I asked Tuesday what it was looking like and they said they weren't opening the rest of this week and then they don't even post till the morning of? Honestly not surprised though after spending the last 6 months working with them. I don't think any of them ever know what's going on.

Apparently my boss still doesn't understand the concept of communicating, and you guys usually know more than he does anyways. I was told they weren't opening but last time that happened they opened but their website is completely down at the moment.

i heard that ski school (who is also the park crew) is pushing to put in some lift tower tubes and a box or something for opening day... if they go through with that they'll have more up than holiday valley does right now. Give kb a chance, their parks have deteriorated a bit over the past couple of years but they aren't dead yet.

Last time I was there it was filled with so many people just cruising thru clogging up the park it was unbelieveable. Then, as my sister was filming me on a dfd, a ski school came up and started yelling at her to get out of the way. Fuck that, I know a bunch of 6 year olds are not about to hit a dfd. It escalated to me losing my pass that day because I wouldn't listen to the bitch telling me to move.

psa: kbs park has hit rock bottom. the best feature is a 12ish foot flat bar. the lips are taller than the rails and ride on, and no lip is wider than 2 and a half feet max. its brutal, do not waste your time going there at least until they learn to set up features well or set more up.

Fiddlers is being set tonight and Tomorrow, possibly open with features for Wednesday. Fingers crossed. Rail park is going to be re-set as they are moving most of those rails to be set on fiddlers.
