Does anyone have the odds before the tournament started on winning it all? Specifically Germany? Was is 11 to 1?
 
I have to walk a mile to get access to internet so I haven't been keeping in contact with anyone, but it's amazing! So many crazy stories, everything from getting stuck in an elevator with WAY to many people to getting engaged to food poisoning! I'm half way done with my studies, and at the end I'll share some stories when I have a solid internet connection. And apparently there have been some huge protests here that I am unaware of......if anyone has heard of these, info would be nice
 
A big thing is Putin... and how he's basically just taking back the presidency. Dude has too much power in their opinions, and that makes sense. Lots of them are pretty pissed off that he can do this at all, and want something new that's going to make real change in russia. You probably are starting to see a lot more communist flags out these days too because of a lot of new interest in the russian communist party amongst youths.. (note, it's not the CCCP organization, it's a much different, capitalist tolerant party...)

Still trying to figure that out.....but I might be making a Euro trip later this summer regardless of what happens now

dam shit Denmark what the fuck, i it wasn't work day tomorrow i'd have to get drunk and beat up something. but to be honest the Germans have been playing the best and most consistent of all the teams in the group
 
Germany and Portugal play like a team and deservedly advanced. Holland was the classic case of too many stars trying to do it on their own. I think Portugal can get pretty far in the tournament.

Horns have been honking for like half an hour. Starting to get annoyed, but stoked for everyone that's happy about it!
 
kinda bummed neither the Danes or Dutch made it out.. Sweden and Ireland being out isn't all too surprising though.

Am I seriously being relegated to supporting england the rest of the way? Ugh. Oh well, I'll reluctantly do it. That said, Germany - Spain seems like the championship matchup. As long as Italy's disgusting style doesn't make it far, and Ronaldo's crying and falling over like a bitch doesn't infiltrate this shit anymore, then it should be alright.
 
What a game, Portugal deservedly go through and as I predicted they move on with fearless leader and inspirational football super genius Ronaldo leading the way. With unbelievable self confidence, a slick haircut and a world class girlfriend (google image search: Irina Shayk) he has powered back to the top, and the team should now brush aside the Czech,s although this is tournament football and crazy shit does happen. Glad to avoid Greece, mainly for psychological reasons (scars from 2004 and all that).

 
Looking forward to watching Germany, Spain, and the Czechs. It'd be wild if the Czechs went all the way hehehehe
 
funny how everyone was so sure the netherlands was going to win, listing all their stars and top players. what good did it do them? 0 points. its gonna be tough for germany playing greece and especially spain. if they manage to beat spain, they have good chances on winning the cup.
 
Glad that the Dutch are out, now all the armchair fans can go away and we can start watching real teams play.
 
^Wait there were Dutch fans. It seems like everyone has said they were always pulling for Germany or Spain.

jokes. Almost everyone who was a "hardcore" Dutch fan will now be rooting for one of the new favorites.
 
I think he's referring more to the inexplicable love NS has for the dutch team in every major tournament.

semis would be great for France also. Beat the Swedes and they might have a decent shot.
 
This. Then again, it's probably a motivational problem (a lot of them are having a hard time in their clubs, especially Robben and they just lost the world cup 2 yrs ago).
