Official College Acceptance Thread '10

No I haven't. I am visiting SU UBC and UW in february since it is a bit of a haul for me (I'm from Boston).

Just the idea of being in downtown is more of a draw for me about Seattle U. Also it is a bigger school and it seems less religious. It seems like religion among faculty and students is a lot more prevalent at UP than SU.

for those too spoiled / not smart enough to establish residency, then it costs between 6,000 to 11,000 for public schools

Anyway, there are a bunch of NSers here at Lehigh (surprising I know). My roomate (pierson), zookiejib, D@n, and myself. We're all freshman. Shit gets rowdy here. It's a fucking blast. Don't hesitate to pm me if you have any questions. I'd like to think I'm a nice guy.
 
From the looks of this thread I will continue to be one of 2 NS'ers at Marquette to the best of my knowledge, and the other one is a snowboarder. There is only so much reppin 2 people can, uh.... rep(?).
 
I can't speak for if the UK does it the same way, but post-secondary education in Canada is subsidized meaning the government pays for most of it. My first year has cost probably somewhere in the range of $14,000.
 
Nice. I was in a similar situation going between UVM and Northeastern, ended up choosing Northeastern.
 
Ahh I'm waiting to hear from Northeastern right now (its my number one for sure)! Can't access the application check website, which is supposedly a sign that they're sending out emails today. I got into UVM and UNH and am waiting on BU, Marist, Bentley, and Bryant.
 
northeastern over BU pshhhhhh. jk i applied to northeastern also and i dont wanna withdraw my applications just yet, i wanna see who else would take me lol

your list is very similar to one of my friends'. she has northeastern and bentley as her top 2

Who the fuck told you that? Ive been in Philly for almost half of my life, if you think the area around Drexel/UPenn is sketchy check out the area around Temple. Temple is in a horrible area, but Drexel is not bad and its a good school. My friend goes there for the Business school co-op.
 
i have mad friends that go to lehigh and i was there the other night, that school is a lot of fun. I cant remember what frats I went to but it was sick. By the way anyone looking at Fairfield here? If so pm me if you need any info i go there.

uw eau claire- this is the college i picked to go to.

 
Well turns out I got a sickk offer from Northeastern, and since I don't want to write an essay and spend another $70 I don't think I'm even going to apply to BU anymore. Yeah that list is pretty prevalent with people who want to stay in the Northeast and want to go into business, for sure.
 
if you get the yes from union, i highly recommend you attend.#13 party school in the country. ranked top 30 academically. best of both worlds, its fucking incredibleand to those who are still thinking of where to apply or want to get another school on their list, check it out
 
over boulder? I guess eau claire probably has a much better price. Have fun man, I forgot which weekend it is, but I think it is homecoming in Eau Claire things get batshit crazy, I have friends who travel there from Marquette, UWM, and Duluth for that weekend.
 
just got into Lewis & Clark in Portland,

now i've gotta submit all the rest before Jan 1. guuhh no relaxing for me during winter break.
 
so i got deferred from UVM (acceptance rate 65%) but i just got in to Colorado College (acceptance rate 30%)...how does that work?
but its all cool because i'd much rather go to CC
