Official College Acceptance Thread '10

Im gonna be going to school for like max $15,00 a year, my friends are paying upwards of 30k... sounds like a win to me!

exactly... because i feel that i did fairly well in school for the past 4 years, (even though my grades were awful for my ethnic standards), but i did well on tests, and now that ive been rewarded for it, im pretty glad about it being a big accomplishment in life. wouldnt you be stoked if you won some skis at a rail jam or something?

We are proud of our accomplishments, in no way are we trying to rub it in anyone else's faces, is I am, I am sorry.

I understand your point of the college being "below" the college academically, but some people might need that extra offer of money in order for them to go to a quality college. I personally am extremely thankful that I have gotten a scholarship to each school that I have applied to, but would love to go to some other schools potentially.

There is really no such thing as a college below someones academic level, when your at a college you can make the experience whatever you want it to be whether you work really hard or not. Not all people try to go to the highest ranked college that they possibly can, they try to find a place they feel comfortable. Scholarships help a lot of kids out that otherwise may not have gone to college because of economic reasons. Just my opinion

just applied a few days ago...im thinking the fact that i applied so late will probably lower my chances of getting in though

I got accepted to Drexel with a $40,000 scholarship, got that VIP App, and got a answer in 2 weeks, it was pretty nice.

have fun paying for that. i was accepted there last year and the cost is ridiculous.

anyone apply to Norwich for architecture or engineering? or criminal justice

and congrants man, that's awesome. i've had a bunch of friends and family members go there, they all loved it.

haha thanks

Yea it was 3-4am in the morning when i posted...so forgive my spelling error, I was kinda out of it lol.

I really like the campus and the area, its so nice

Seriously? If so that is sick, as it is impossible to get in there.

I applied with, I don't have amazing stats, but I am banking on a connection that I have there.

Dammit, I wish I had some offers like that. I got a 1760 on the SAT and a 29 on the ACT and my GPA is around 4, WTF am I doing wrong

The only time the dining hall was good was when Simpson had the Christmas buffet haha. So many kids claiming scholarships, don't expect that from UVM. My sister got like $10 grand this year and they took it away becasue "it was given to her as a mistake". What bullshit. Other than the price, UVM is the best place to be.

My 1500 SAT score was out of 1600, which is what most colleges look at, not the 2400 score. Are you taking APs?

Your SAT is by no means bad, AT ALL, but school seems to place a ton of emphasis on the standardized tests. So a really good SAT score (like 1500) will carry you a very long way.

Congrats on the scholarship to DU, I got one too, just not near that high.

accepted to:

University of Denver

U of Minnesota- Twin Cities

MSU- Bozeman

Westminster

I really wanted to go to the University of Denver but can't afford it =/
