Official College Acceptance Thread '10

30 thousand for 4 years at ithaca, and got into drexelwaiting on UNH, Miami U. of Ohio, Boulder, Denver, UMass amherst, UVM and Loyola Maryland...

They told me that I would hear back in the next week or week and a half (early action of course). For reference I applied around the 1st week of november.

to the above poster, Loyola Maryland is a sick school, a lot of really cool kids and a really nice campus (my sister goes there) but not the best place for skiing.

I also checked my UBC application and it said it was ready for review since they got my initial senior year transcript, does anyone know the average time that they reply?

if anyone who got into uvm has any questions shoot me a pm im a freshman there. Uvm is pretty sweet i enjoy it alot. skiing scene is awesome and you cant beat burlington. FST is basically a bunch of kids how think they can ski park. dont get me wrong there are a few kids who kill it but most not so much. Im not hatin on FST but id rather ski with my friends than a bunch of goonboppers

got into johnson & wales denver with 8 g's a year, also into u of u, u of co denver and metropolitan state denver

rejected from colorado sch. of mines and still waiting to hear from boulder and westminster

Iowa State University- accepted and enrolledUniversity Of Iowa- acceptedPurdue- deferred for my major(engineering) they said i would be accepted if i chose a different major.

shiiit thats bull...hopefully the real one is the accepted (keep your fingers crossed)Drew. dont hate on FST hahaeveryone is allowed to have their own opinions though

Please don't make a decision based around religion. Both schools are excellent. And perhaps the reason you see that is because UP is a Catholic school whereas SU is a Jesuit Catholic school. The Jesuits are much more liberal and, dare I say it, open. They're open to new ways of thinking. That's one of the great things about Jesuit education, in my opinion.

Just got a $12,000 scholarship to Seattle U. Stoked on that.

Should hear back form DU and Boulder this week.

nice dude, now you have to go there haha, not too bad of a place though
My acceptance:West PointAir Force AcademyNotre DameU of MinCO school of Mines

All you punks that are claiming UVM acceptances better make the right choice. That of course is UVM. Honestly I'm one semester into this and its far better than I could ever imagine. Not just in terms of skiing either, everything. Classes, teachers, the city, people, 20$ bus rides to Montreal, personally I even enjoy the dining halls.

All those considering can hit me up with questions about anything. I'm an Athletic Training major on the Pre-med track if you are looking for any academically specific answers.

Just got accepted to DU with a $40k scholarship, I have also had

$48k to Seattle U

and $56K to U of Portland

Waiting on Boulder, McGill, Yale, UW and UBC

congrats on West Point, shit is soooo hard to get into!!

My brother got accepted, and that's where he's going.

Also, anyone who has been accepted to CU, I highly recommend coming here! I'm a sophomore, and I have a hard time ever leaving CO to go back home; I will probably stay in the state even after I graduate.

If you have any questions about CU, don't hesitate to ask me

still have to send SAT scores to University of calgary, simon fraser university and have to apply to ubc. im not even applying to any american schools...

dont get me wrong im genuinely happy for people to get free money, but why does everyone feel the urge to post their numbers? its not your dick length, and it just means that the school is below you academically and they need to sweeten the pot

Because we're proud that our hard work has paid off? It's like kids posting their new skis and gear, is it necessary? No, but people like to show off. And by saying that it just means that the school is below you academically you make it sound like it's a bad thing to get a scholarship. Paying for college isn't easy and many people myself included are willing to go to a school that isn't up to their full potential to help their family and themselves.
