Official Big Sky/ Moonlight thread

I will be there also prolly skiing Challanger, Shedhorn, Triple, or the tram.

I'll prolly be skiing with Ben. and Bibs_skibum

and I am going up tomorrow and will prolly be skiing park.
 
Sorry for the double post but whats the deal with the super lame spring bus schedule. I thought they would be running more buses not less. I heard that moonlight didn't pay or something and thats why it got cut back but thats just the word on the street.
 
yeah it blows. im afraid im not gonna make it on tomorrow, considering how full it normally is with a FULL size bus on weekends. and now its a tiny one.
 
looks like its gonna be an awesome day up there today! have fun everyone i get to sit at home and watch the snow fall till next year.
 
twas pretty darn good. windy as hell though in the morning, but got progressively better.

i also actually thought i was going to die in rice bowl today, i got some of the first tracks and the whole thing started to fracture, but only a couple inches deep. but i had a brief, OH GOD moment, where i thought i was gonna get dragged into the trees.
 
the same thing happened to me and my buddies yesterday. We were going for shedhorn to dakota and this whole face above us spidered. Twas pretty damn scary
 
that is sketchy. i guess when we get so much snow,on top of what had become total hardpack, there can be some instability. wear your beacon!
 
We were shooting at the Tram Jump today! The weather held for us and we got some bangers! Hoping for some more snow for another sesh...
 
holy dude man. today was easily the best day ive had all season. one of the best days ever.
 
yeah except there will be no snow left off the tram. itll all be about 40 miles north of there hahaha

 
and goodbye to another big sky season. possibly my last, i may be getting a moonlight pass next year with the mass exodus of the bs park crew.

big sky is all well and good if we have a good snow year, but if its as crappy as this year i want to have park when theres nothing else. idk what im gonna do yet.
 
Im going for a ML pass next year. Hardly used my BS pass kinda unfortunate, but i got god use out of it when the snow was good. Tram runs were so fun!

 
thats the debate im having. i want to have a park, but you really cant beat big sky for terrain on pow days, between the tram, shredhorn, and challenger
 
bump adump dump. im hearing rumors tyrel is still coming back to do big sky park crew this year? anyone confirm or deny? still trying to sort out where im gonna get a pass.
 
word? i though they were all leaving this year.

i also heard something about dirt pushing for jumps. is ambush coming back? or is this in swifty
 
Good, hopefully the park will have some decent hits this year. Park crew definitely did a good job with what they were given last year, but damn.

truth. sure moonlight might have a better park

but big sky has shredhorn, the tram, challenger, all the awesome non park terrain
 
that zaugg and ditch at big sky sure do look pretty. they get rid of ambush for budget cuts but leave a $100,000 piece of equipment sitting at the bottom of the mounting to deteriorate. that makes sense. durr lets stop making the only halfpipe in montana but keep all the equipment for it.
also... moonlight has lone tree, iron horse, and headwaters. all sick terrain. plus a park that puts big sky to shame. AND their pass is over $200 cheaper.
