Twins digest: So yesterday, solid performance against the yankees, although I almost slit their throats when they took the lead in the first then gave up 2 HR's right off the bat. Beating the yankees makes me so happy. Span and Gardy got thrown out third inning today, always nice to see a mix up there but now they're playing like their usual selves, looks like another loss to the yankees on this one.
 
curtis granderson went off tonight. 3 home runs in his first 3 at bats, 5/5? insane. He is the only thing that I like about the Yankess... only because he is a former Tiger of course!
 
not a great result for the red sox today, but today really wasn't about the game so much as it was about Fenway Park. Incredible pregame ceremony with all the old players coming back out and doing everything.

So that's 100 years down. Very proud to have been a part of it all.
 
God damnit I hope some of the speculation in the air that the Mariners might be ripe to sell are true. The ownership and upper tier management is so fucking awful.

Classic headline from the other day:

fuck yeah jays comeback. pisses me off that santos is letting in a pile of runs though as a closer. zero confidence in that guy..
 
Record may not show it yet, but the Twins have been playing some good ball. If out pitching improves we could be a serious threat this year.

Best day of baseball since game 162, hands down. Perfect game was unbelievable, thought he blew it with the 3-0 count.

I straight up feel bad for Bobby Valentine, but I'm a big Yanks fan so screw it. Also, my friend who goes to Northeastern University texts me " I can hear the boo's from my dorm room. Bruins lost too, expect riots tonight. It's my last Saturday here, might as well end up on a wanted list."
 
Sox are a freakin trainwreck so far this season... Just bad. But hey, baseball is a long season, they could turn it around.

Let's get this Official Cincinnati Reds Thread back on topic.

Quick run-down of tonights game:

Tonight at 7:10 Eastern time, our Cincinnati Reds will be taking on the San Francisco Giants.

On the mound for the Reds is Mat Latos. He hasn't done very well in his last couple outings, I'm looking for him to get back into his normal game tonight.

Prediction: 5-1 Reds win.

 
Reds update: Yesterday's game Reds won 9-2. Tonight they won 4-2. That's a three game winning streak for the Reds. We hope to see it continue until game 4 of the world series and then we can call it a season.
 
serioussly. No way youre making the playoffs if you cant beat the fucking Baltimore Orioles.

but i have to admit the O's have spectacular relief pitching
 
The first pitch of Matt Kemps first at bat in the first game of the series resulted in a Matt Kemp solo shot hr. This guy is ON FIRE. 12 homers already!

Freaking Rockies pitching is pathetic. It is there only flaw. They have one of the best line-ups in baseball, great fielding both in the in-field and out-field. If they had good pitching than they would be contenders. There are talks of Roy Oswalt coming so they'd be a great asset but that may be a reach. They also have some prospects in their Minors but who knows if they'll perform. Things need to change fast cause if they keep this up then they'll be out of contention after the All-Star Break.
