Official 2012 MLB Thread

If the Rockies don't win this next series then Tracy needs to go. We lost the game because of him today. Twins fans, we were up 2-1 in the 8th and Tracy decides to pull Giambi from first and he moved Cuddyer to first base. Well Cuddyer couldn't make the play at first costing us the game. WTF Tracy. The guy has played five games at first, never move him there again.

I do not know how the fuck the Twins got swepted by the Orioles, and I'm not too happy about it either.

The detroit tigers look unbelievable this year. The game today was pretty absurd, offensive wise.

Bobby V has his hands full.

Rooting for the Yanks this year as usual. Last time Yanks started off 0-3 and Kentucky won the NCAA Basketball Championship in the same year, the yanks won 114 games and the world series!

5 runs over 27 innings, you'll lose 9 times outta 10 with numbers like that.

its the first series of the year, but now we got angels, rangers, yankees and redsox so they better step it up or we are looking at 0 - 15.

I'm pretty jealous. I moved away from the area before Target field opened, and I still haven't been there. I used to play a HS game in the Metrodome every year, which was awesome. We got to meet a lot of pros through that.

Looks like Yanks have finally realized that the season has started.

Yu Darvish..pretty rough first inning for the Rangers.

There was a Zito sighting today. Hopefully it means he has returned and if it does the Giants just got a whole hell of a lot scarier

yeah, the red socks are a whole other team now with terry and theo gone.

im proud to say that MLB will not suck me in this year.

Detroit Tigers are going to be unstoppable this year. Your going to have to score 6, 7, maybe 8 runs on any given night to beat that batting line up... and that is going to pretty hard to do against a very solid pitching staff and infield

Jorge Posada just got to throw out the first pitch at the Yankees home opener. I didn't realize he was retiring, What a great career he had

good day for home openers, with posada doing the first pitch in ny while 'tek and wakefield did it in boston. Funny thing is i was i didn't even know they did the first pitch until i saw highlights after getting home.

had a great time at fenway today. I always love the first home game of the season. Everyone is always so happy. Met a lot of cool, very nice people, had a beautiful day and a good win to top it off!

Also absolutely love my job which is helpful in such an environment.

I'm one of the few Raiders/Giants fans out there. I haven't paid attention to the A's since Miguel Tejada played for them. I have no idea what they're doing now

apparently the sox can play decently in fenway.

unfortunately didn't get to see a whole lot of the game today though. Was a perfect day though, never thought i'd be rocking the short sleeves on days 1 and 2.

They were done even with him as far as I'm concerned. They're way too old, (typical magowan bullshit team) and they are too reliant on pitching...

...and Zito isn't going to do jack shit - even if it's a contract year. Dudes best days are a decade in the past.

I'm not expecting cy young zito I'm just hoping it's not give up six runs in the first inning of every game zito

Haha Ever since like... 2005 or something, that's all I'd expect out of Zito. Even when he was with Oakland after the breakup of the big 3, he was just garbage. He'd have one good game every 3 or 4 games, and get bailed out here and there, but ultimately, he'd give up 4 dingers a game the rest of the time.

Todd motherfucking Helton is the man. The god dam man. 5 hour baseball, pissing rain, Rockies blow a 5-1 lead and the dude wins it with a walk two run homer. My favorite player of all time. Hall of famer in the waitng
