Official 2012 MLB Thread

Get off the yankees bandwagon. The yankees just have money and buy all the allstars who don't play good together.

this just hit me: The Detroit Tigers have Miguel Cabrera hitting 3rd and Prince Fielder hitting 4th.

hoooly shit

and Verlander on the mound wtf

Let's hope we don't have another shit show of a year, looking decent in Spring Training, Mauers healthy, Morneau's healthy, pitchings good, including new guy Liam Hendricks so we'll see where that goes. So sad to have lost Nathan to fucking Texas but oh well. Looking at the new roster I feel like I barely recognize anyone. Thome, Nathan, Cuddy, Kubel, all gone. Nishioka back to minors.

Maybe we are fucked after all. Oh well Twins for life win or lose /true fan.

been inside fenway lately and i have to say, something about it feels different now, knowing that it's 100 years old. Almost everything about it is still the same, but there's a different feel to it for some odd reason. Must be something about the fact that 100 years ago they were prepping for baseball season, same as we are now.

Hell yeah! Despite what everyone's saying, I think we have a decent chance this year. You have to remember we still have two mvp's in our line up. It's just a matter of if they can stay healthy and Morneau and Mauer have both been doing well in spring training. Willingham should fill the void Cuddy left and it's gonna be great having Span healthy and back in center. Also, the last time Terry Ryan was hired as GM we were coming off a shitty season and came back to win the world series.

The Rockies are looking really solid. Pitching is the only thing that Im worried about. If Fowler can live up to his expectations this year then are batting line up will be one of the best in all of baseball.

Life-long Twins fan. Went to my first game in '91. Still remember where I was when they won the series. Super high expectations for this season.

The Rockies are my favorite team but the Twins are a close second. My mom was at game 7 when the won the world series and I was technically there for it as well because I was a fetus in her womb lol. Im also really stoked on Cuddyer being a Rockie. Guy seems like a class act and also seems to be a strong well-rounded out fielder.

Hey now, Sacramento made perfect sense for the A's as a AAA location - it's an hour down the road and really saves on travel expenses (not to mention, Raley Field is a fallback option as a fully expandable ballpark if the A's need to leave the Bay Area for some reason) The A's need all the $$'s they can get man.

Plus, the Stadium's pretty badass, and they usually sell a lot of tickets.

I would love to see Vancouver get a MLB team someday though. That would be awesome.

lets go babe ruth!!! woooh yeaahhh!!

2nd favorite is lou gehrig!!!

they are def. going to be getting MVP this year,

i wonder if i can put them on my fantasy team...

I always make sure to draft halladay in my fantasy baseball league....that dude is the man I hope he can get a WS before he is done even if it is with the phillies

The Twins are my team as well....going to opening day on monday and then again on wednesday (i have season tickets with a co-worker)

It sucks we don't have cuddy, but he would have cost to much to keep same with nathan and kubel...i'm really interested to see what Doumit will do in right field to see if he is a better option than Ben Revere cause having Revere would be nice for speed. Other than that everyone is healthy for the batting line up

Im still super nervous about our pitching, hopefully they can step it up from last season.

My favorite is Span he is the man. Lets get Denarded! Spanimals!

The longest home opener in MLB history. By the 16th a group of 50+ Jays fans had assembled by third base and we destoyed every Indians fan in the place. Cheers of BRIAN BUTTERFIELD and BLUE JAYS BASEBALL were all you could hear And the Arendebia hits a hr, And shit hit the fan Greatest game of my life

Good to see Willingham blast one....pavano struggled in the 1st letting the O's pitcher be comfortable to early....and dang we can't go 162 - 0 now :(

I know right? I was really counting on an undefeated season darn.

Stoked about Willingham as well! I think that our pitching is going to sturggle to start this year as always, miss the days when we had one of the better pitching staff's in mlb.

I'm a big Valencia fan, of his bat at least- seemed to always pull through and get us multi-base hits when we really needed it last year.

Praying for a better game tomorrow, but it sure is nice to be watching baseball again! /have fun opening day! I think I'm going to try and get tickets to the KC series at the end of the month
