That being said, I learned when I was young but didn't pick it back up until about 12 years ago, start getting better/being more serious about it 5-6 years ago and the last couple of years i've been playing 3-5 days a week when its not snowing. My handicap is 8, best round is a +2 73.

14410405:tri_photo said:true, but if I can put the ball closer to the pin in the first place, it would help my stupid game out hahaha
14410408:eheath said:Sure, hitting greens in reg also makes it way easier but that doesn't always make up for a bad hole or two, gotta get some birdies here and there.
For me, getting better at putting has made a huge difference, I highly recommend to anyone trying to get better to put a good amount of time into putting, it pays off.

Been playing golf all my life but have been slacking after high school when I actually have to pay. If I've got the time I might pick it up a bit more this summer.

Around here at least there isn’t the same type of seasons pass type deals for golf that the ski areas have?![]()

Steep but if you make that your thing you can really bring the price down. If you really play every day for a year your price is only $2.74 per day on a $1000 pass. I saw a course the other day that had a special for an unlimited couples pass for $899 for a year

And wow, you’re absolutely right. I tried this today on the course and my yardage increased when I would hit it flush, and the contact felt stronger.

14412431:tri_photo said:Put up an 89 yesterday, first full 18 of the season. First 9 was atrocious, but the second 9 was consistent. Couldn't hit my driver, so I took my medicine and put it back in the bag. ended up with 2 or 3 pars on the second 9 because of doing that.
14412459:Casey said:That’s a tough thing to do. I always end up having a couple drinks and just being like fuck it I didn’t come out here to play well fuck laying up. Also why I am bad at the game.
14412720:tri_photo said:Didn't have anything to drink this round, and it really helped the swing tbh

Anyone know any courses open in BC? Okanagan, I heard there may be some in the lower mainland going?
