Over the summer I picked up this 1995 Eagle Talon Tsi AWD in Florida that has never seen salt and drove it all the way back to Wisconsin (through Mexico of course, because it was unregistered ;) ). Been resprayed, paint is kinda heinous up close but no rust at all. Almost stock except for exhaust manifold, downpipe w/ O2 housing, 3" catback. Musty ass interior (roaches included, the kind with legs) that I will be tearing out completely replacing with 1999 Eclipse GSX interior before next summer. It'll be parked until salting is done for the spring.

Yo chubz I was thinking about doing the same thing to my forester, you end up doing it?

No i ended up just puttin some nice all seasons on it. Im probably not gonna have this car for very long (it has 150k on it) so i dont wanna put a couple grand into a car that will only last me a couple years.

If i end up getting a nicer one or an xt i will probably do it.

But i have friends who have flared out lifted imprezas and theyre fuckin sick. If you wanna do it, rip it!

Haha I'm actually from Connecticut so if you're into cars you're pretty much bound to end up running into them at some point between events and car shows/meets.

Last reply got it on a new page so gonna throw some more photos of my baby in here while I regretfully put the winter wheels on this weekend :(

Was wondering where that X was since this thread died, glad to see someone keeping it and not going Subaru.

Did you buy the 240 like that? Looks very ready for dub.

I put a corvette engine into my 1988 BMW 325...now it's a 357 (3 series with a 5.7 liter v8 instead of a 2.5 liter inline 6). The new engine is all aluminum so it gained no weight aka it's 2800 lbs and has 350 hp. It's actually kinda scary to drive haha...

Here's a link to our buildup thread

Yeah so I know this was 9 years ago but... this is fucking wild so sick haha

In hopes that she will be drive-able this weekend. Here's my 1973 Ford E-100. Had to do a bunch of work to get it in decent shape, but it'll all be worth it soon.

This thing is fuckin SWEET!

Haven't been active on NS for a while but couldn't resist digging up this classic summer nsg thread. As I'm thoroughly convinced Audis are the ultimate skimobile, I just upgraded from a 2005 A4 to this 2015 A3 this summer. Plus my plates just came in....some may think it's corny but I love it. Forgive me for the summer rig being on top rather than the skis

Ah it fooled me, what is that car by the way? The Clio looks so fun, 3 door hatches ftw.

Peugeot 106 GTi. Absolute little rocket of a car, especially after a bit of work! I’ve thrown some serious cash into it.

Like every French tin though, they suffer from severe rust issues. Lucky my example is absolutely mint. Saying that I’d never put so much money into a nail!

This look like a solid ring rocket!!!!!!!!!

That’s the aim dude. One day! Living in Canada at the moment so it’s still in my Dads garage unfinished.

Nice, good to see someone using fwd for performance these days, my brothers daily and race car are both fwd and before I thought oh lame, but after driving his fiesta ST and 92 eclipse rallyx car I see how good they do if you know what you're doing.

That's awesome, I didn't know those were in Canada! I just lived in Germany for a few years and I'm in the Nurburgring FB group; there are some old French and Britt dudes that absolutely RIP those around the ring. If you haven't checked out the youtube videos of them.... mother of God... #SLAY

Yeah man. 106 GTis running decent LSDs can out-handle cars 10x their value. Unbeatable fun!

Sorry dude should have been more specific. They were never marketed or sold in North America. Because I’m in Canada it’s still in my Dads garage at home in the UK...unfinished! I’m gonna be in the 106 game for as long as they last, such little rockets!
