New bong thread

K so where i'm from everyone smokes bowls the same way. I go to another town, they do it different, but generally all the same as each other. I'm wondering if anyone smokes huge bowls with tobacco at the bottom, not mixed, at the bottom, pull it through, pull the chamber. Just curious to see if anyone smokes bowls this way, because EVERYBODY in my home town smokes like this.
 
no his "logic" makes a good point. like i wish i could have a sick bong but i'll survive off my little boring bowl, some papers, and maybe the occasional blunt.
 
poppers, snappers or yetis is what i have heard them called. Fuck doin them in nice bongs tho the tobacco makes the smoke taste like shit for so long unless you wash it like every day.. We do poppers in shitty ass bongs and save the high end glass fro striaght greeenssss
 
poppers here is something different.

Take out the slide, but a piece of cigarette in the downstem, pack on top, pull slow, then when the green is gone, pull through.

Shit is fucked.

I got this bong for free a few days ago for a first timer gift at a dispensary. Thought it was worth a post because I've never really seen a bong like it before. Pretty legit for free.
 
Yeah the flat part on the bottom is what it sits on and it pretty much sits just like I'm holding it. Thing is going to be impossible to break.
 
$50-60, but if you're in the market for one of these monster ones it'll set you back way more. For a regular bong it's like $50-60
 
Tubes shouldnt have names, imo. What brand is it? Usually thats how i like to refer to then and it seems like most do to. Mine is a luke wilson 10 tree downstem, call it the luke wilson. People have roors "Lets hit the roor" or "Lets hit the illaedlph with the inline ashcatcher" etc.
 
hahaha oh ladies if only i had pictures of my $1600 illadelph glycerin coil with a dome perc and a 5 arm ash catcher... and a roor carbon filter... yea thats my baby, but then i have a ROOR with a dome perc, ice pinches and a name brand inline ash catcher, sooo sexxxy
 
Im pretty new to smoking culture/glassware, but I'm almost positive I recently ripped that exact piece, or at least a very similar one, and I have to say, there is not a doubt in my mind that really high quality pieces like that are worth every single penny, and to be honest I probably wouldn't have believed someone if they had told me that before I hit one. I'm officially a believer. If I had the cash to drop on something really nice, I would do it in a heartbeat and never look back. The one that I hit cost $600 all told, if thats a good indicator of whether or not it was the same exact one.
Anyway, like I said, i'm newish to smoking, but I'm very new to high end glassware, in that I have never actually owned any. Never even owned a bong. And I have to say, its rather intimidating. I'm still trying to wrap my head around what the hell percolators and diffusers and such are, and i'm finding its not necessarily an easy thing to learn about/get into because it seems like everyone involved is already so much more advanced from a knowledge standpoint.
 
browse around grasscity.com forums, and just take it all in, and read others questions or ask your own. a short rundown of a perc/diffuser would be that it breaks the smoke up within the water so that more surface area of the smoke touches water, cooling it down/filtering it. its all about surface area, and not having a lot of drag, with the most holes/trees.
