Mt. Sunapoontang

sounds like at least 3 plus however many others there are that haven't mentioned it. good news though! just had a dr. appointment today and i'm out of my sling as well. possibility of some late april skiing if the snow is still around, and the doc said that since my range of motion is so good i won't have to do physical therapy! I'm pumped. Good to hear you got your sling off too!!
 
lucky, i need to have physical therapy, its pretty stiff still at the upper limits of my range of motion, so i have to get back that upper range of motion still.
 
1 week of PT for me too, and prally 1 more week of no skiing to let the bone harden up, except instead of colorado i'm going back to Sunapee for some lack of epic gnarnia
 
ahhhh you guys are soo lucky, I just started my physical therapy and am only one week into it. I'll be hiking mt sunapee in may, so thats not too far away
 
mountain will probably close first week in april, last competition is march 30, its a rail jam and its gunna be awesome... there will be a return of the superkink....

aside from the up rail and the step up any thing else new?
 
the up flat box has been turned into a flat down box that is awesome... jumps have been tweaked a bit, everything else is the same. The big air is gunna be on the big 55 ft jump and it may be redone to be bigger and better

true, I was looking at the past opening and closing dates for killy, and one year they opened october 4th and closed june 22nd, so you never know

the park was the best it has ever been thursday and friday, dunno how much damage this rain did

Notttt. next saturday now, the jump would have been a death trap today with the wind ice and simply not fun conditions.
 
^sucks about that can you atleast ski in the summer? i might be up this weekend i was wondering how the park is looking and if they got any rain today
 
Sorry to hear that man...but it'll just mean that next season you'll take nothing for granted. How's your shoulder feelin brotha?
 
shoulder feels fine, which is part of the problem, it feels like i should be able to ski, but I know i can't. The surgical anchors, that are holding the cartilage to the bone are still in place, as the cartilage is still in the process of growing back on to the bone, so one fall on that shoulder would undo all of the progress i have made, and i'd have to have the surgery over again, back to square one.

yeah i'm super stoked for next season. can't wait to not have to worry about dislocation when i go hit a feature, its been holding me back for a while now.

wont be able to hit it till sunday and there will probably be a couple other smaller features set up, depends how lazy they are gunna be, cause i wont be up till sunday.
 
Ahhhh im not really sure, i dont have anyone to film so if i find someone to film, i can make one.... not sure if ross will just be taking pics or doing video too
 
YOOO good news!!! Doc gave me the go ahead for some light skiing, no jumps yet. but I could probably get away with some small jibs and maybe some real low jumps! How is the skiing at the sunapee right now? I know it's wet but hows the park and such?
 
Lucky, doctor told me i couldn't ski when i asked him last time even in may. I'll ask him again when i see him next to make sure he didn't think I was asking about skiing in march, which was when i saw him. I'm not getting my hopes up, right now I'm planning on Thanksgiving, and to recap i haven't been skiing since January 3rd, so thats a solid 330 something days without skiing, 240 to go. But maybe I'll be able to ski in May.

yo man I hope you can ski in may. I know how you feel though, last year I broke my ankle and got 1 ski day. this year I broke my collar bone after 4 days, I guess i'm injury prone.
 
theres a bunch of pics up on facebook that brooks and katie took... dunno about video... there was someone filming dunno who it was though. it was a really fun time, bobby killed it.
 
so i havnt been to sunapee in a really long time but i think im going next weekend and the park is supposed to close for the year on sunday so do they set anything up on other trails after that area closes?
