[tag=30362]@melee[/tag] [tag=144811]@hot.pocket[/tag] have you guys ever made (or considered making) a big poster with small pictures of every one of your skis on it? Sometimes my internet goes out and I need some material IYKWIM

Something like this:

How about taking it one step further.

make a “history” section on the site that shows every ski and top sheet produced throughout the years.

maybe you have say “wildcat” you click that and it will show you the first cat ever made and explain the history of the ski. What made it special etc.

then each following top sheet from the years after. With maybe a little description like “ in 2018 we updated the cat with a new rocker profile or core etc etc.

I'd only care to see this for the Bibby. Since that had a literal story progression

it exists but I can't find a link. There was a compilation of all topsheets + story itself with explanations

Hate to be that guy who’s always suggesting something new but I’d buy a Countach 100 in a heartbeat. My Tahoe 96’s were so fucking good and I miss that full wood, lively charger ski in my lineup. Shouldn’t have sold those.

Commander 98 is a great Tahoe 96 replacement. A slimmer Countach would certainly be sweet though.

So this past season was the best / worst season ever for me .. it was the best because I got all new gear (from skis to helmet and everything in between) including my first pair of moments .. I got the DW104s and after skiing them for about 5 days I realized they weren't the ski for me so I went with the WC108 and man What a ski!!!!!! IMO its the best ski it really does it all ... Now what made it the worst was getting the boot situation taken care of but towards the end of the season an airline destroyed my boots after forcing me to check them to their credit they reimbursed me at my destination and I had to get new boots while in park city ... then in early April I let my bro take my skis as I was back at work ( I take the winters off to ski ) and he came home and my skis were destroyed he drove over them somehow ... but he also had with him a brand new pair of WC108s in the plastic and a pair of sender signature pivot 15s .. as also this season I became a Look covert after being a Marker shill for my whole life .. any who Ive been wanting to vent that for a while and I wanted to gush about how awesome Moment is I wish I had found them sooner .. they legit ticked every box while researching new gear last summer

Can anyone who has mounted the Commander 108 at +2 from recommended comment on how it rides there, have a new pair I'm about to get mounted but in two minds re mounting point because I haven't been on anything this directional in a fair while.

hahaha reading that whole mess back I think I may of gone off the rails lol ... I didnt like the 104s because I felt that had had too much bite I kept catching edges and they just felt weird to me .. when I got on the WC108s it felt very familiar yet more stable precise than my old skis which were Blizzard regulators

Good find, but not my size… I’m assuming there will be a re-stock of Meridians for next season? New graphics?

Sounds like a tuning issue?

so the first 2 days I skied them factory .. then I went to my shop had them wax and edge them like usual after that they did slide a lot better but I still kept catching edges ...I just feel that wasn't the ski for me it is an amazing ski but it just wasn't working for me .. the WC108s felt a lot more familiar .. I may give DWs another shot some day but im loving the wildcats too much now lol .. Moment is just an amazing company the level of service I got from them was amazing

They might need more than an edge and wax, there could be base bevel issues or high spots/low spots etc. In my experience the Moment Factory tune is good but issues can always happen so worth having a good tech look them over if you still have them.

That said if you're not used to the triple camber it could just be that, nothing wrong with liking what you like and not what you don't, as long as you're having a good time!

The Wildcats are great skis (I love my WC101s), if I didn't have Kartel 116s I'd be ordering the full fat Wildcat straight up.

I sold them already... the gentlemen who bought them loves them though he hasn't had any issue with them but he was also used to skiing on an Ahmeek 105 which is a triple camber ski also so I think it was more so that I just couldn't get used to the triple camber

Deathwish turn radius actually ski like that? Comments on here say it's "Pivoty/Nimble", not exactly how I'd describe a 24m radius

Triple camber can be wild - low camber underfoot and rocker makes it slashy, but it definitely wants to revert to straight (or switch) pretty fast unless youve got round edges.

My daily is the DW104/184. I've found that if you really get on the shovels they can bend into some snappy shorter turns, but they like railing just above the radius for me. Mine are at about +2 fwiw.

I ski the Deathwish 112 in a 190. It’s everything you want it to be… with enough speed. It’s my favorite ski but not my go to on days where I’m forced to slow down a lot i.e. big bumps or trees.

Hyped to see my man finally found a way off the planet... Is this the end of the astronaut graphics for the WC series?

I sure hope not. There’s plenty more to learn

We haven't solidified the 24/25 graphic yet but I highly doubt we will move away from the spaceman story line.

The rec line is best if you're a more directional skier, and intend to use them in big open terrain.

I find that if you're using the ski all over the hill in tighter terrain and spinning it a bit, going +2 is a good call. Getting ahead of the sidecut makes the ski initiate much better, and feels more balanced popping and spinning. They're not as stable when you're going full throttle, but I personally think the trade off is worth it.

What the mount point on these? Are these 101 or assuming 108? And does the new astronaut scheme make you fly farther?

So that. I dunno but I can’t imagine it’d be the DW I don’t like this playing games shit they should just say what they’re get rid of.

101 mounted +2 from rec.

The astronaut is always inspiring

Dammnnn new collection looks incredible. I think its time to add a fat cat to the quiver, and dreaming of replacing my skinny touring ski with the DWT 104

Fat cat you say? 118 or bust

Been rocking Commander108 and DW Tour for deeper days but it’s time for a proper pow ski in the quiver again!

Funny enough my fat cat isn’t my main powder ski. Even at 118 underfoot it just does so much really well I find myself skiing it in a lot more variable stuff rather than just powder.

I have a 120 Chetler I use for serious powder but I’m replacing that will a chipotle banana.

I will likely be adding a fatcat as well but thanks to a craigslist call out I found my unicorn.

194 Ghost Train for the DEEP days.

Nice score. I got my unicorn at the factory itself this past March while taking a tour. The Meridian graphic Meridian from Yesteryears.

1074240.jpeg

the new release was cool but wasn’t a fan of the graphic.

Nice!

I actually love the graphic from last year. But I think we can both agree that the meridian is a shitload of fun!

Excited to see how this Countach is as well!

The thing that irked me with the graphic is it’s a moment triple camber graphic. On a ski that is not triple camber. So I really wanted the actual Meridian graphic itself.

Now I’d love love love that new merdian graphic on my deathwish 104. Don’t love the red death on it. The blue death on my 112 looks nicer.

They actually had the countach 182 demo at the factory while I was there. Was considering trying that out but ended up going with the wish 112 before buying one. I have a lot of time on the commander 98 and know I’m not a super directional skier in general so didn’t think I’d flow great with the countach. I still prefer their more progressive mounted skis though I do plan to try a countach out this year when I go back.
