Animals looks really fucking hard. Division Bell would be pretty sweet for sure. Dark Side or The Final Cut are pretty simple but would look really sick I think
 
If I did animals, I would probably simplify it quite a bit. but i am leaning toward Division bell or DSOTM if I could make it unique somehow. I still think Mr Pollards Opus or Jeffrey Pine could be really cool If I made the trees pop off the background.

Fun fact, the the Division Bell cover is an actual picture and real statues were erected for it.

Stoked on this tablet. Holy fuck is it fun to use! Really simple to get the hang of and SO good for photo work. I need to find some cool things to create!
 
I had an idea today for my project. I would make the wall, but to make it not so bland, I would pull all of the bricks forward at random distances to make it 3D and so you would only see what it is at a certain distance. I threw this together real quick in sketchup, 657648.png

It is so hard to decide though, I keep going back between Division Bell, The wall, and Jeffrey Pine.
 
Well here goes it. Got back my first roll today. I am overall disappointed but not surprised. I feel I have progressed greatly in these 3-4 months that I have been shooting film/starting photography. Pretty much any pictures that were composed correctly were happy mistakes and were rare. I was shooting Auto pretty much exclusively and the preset settings, but haven't touched auto mode for two months. So here are the best of the roll, by no means are they great photography, but just the least bad of the roll. I don't want to clutter up "post your best photography" with any mediocrity.

Ilford HP5 on a Rebel 2000 with a 28-80 f3.5-5.6. Developing and standard quality scans done my Mikes Camera in Boulder, CO.

I have come to love film photography and haven't done any digital photography since my trip to Iowa (it was just more practical there) I really look forward to learning more and improving and hopefully being able to be truly proud of my work.
 
WAYYY fucking stoked on filming my school's lip dub. We did a practice run through it first and then I had to do it again right after, so it was almost 8 minutes of straight gliding and the last 30 seconds were so painful I could barely hold the camera up (Holding a RodeMic, T3i, and 11-16 on the HD2000). Luckily it all worked out really well. My camera was bombarded by silly string and confetti but luckily it's all clean and good. At one point there'll be a BTS video someone made where you can see how covered in that shit I was, I was really stoked that there weren't any major strings in front of the lens during the shoot.

Currently in chamonix. Most burly and beautiful place ive ever been in europe. Have been taking a ton of pictures (digital, omg!) and can't wait to get back home and see them on the big screen. But really i'd rather stay here. It's sooolo big

When everybody in the movies is always talking about cham and how big it is. Come here and you really understand what they're talking about.
 
Agreed on a price with a seller for a BP M6 TTL LHSA in lovely condition and already showing some lovely brassing. I am excite. Getting it for a steal also, saving over a grand compared to every other one on the market
 
Oh god. Dat brassing, so subtle, yet so beautiful. I'm kind of wondering what the wear will be like on my ME Black when it comes in as it was listed as bargain grade.

I think i need a rangefinder in my life, a nice, simple, small, rangefinder. So pretty much a leica, but i'm poor.
 
No wonder 80% of all Zenit's have a broken shutter, then entire camera is made from heavy Soviet steel but all the strain is on a thin ribbon.

ME's fo sho do not come in black, if that is what it was listed as i can assure you it is not black at all, it's a greenish gray
 
^google image Pentax ME Black, thats what I should be getting. It looks like a Black ME to me.

So as far as rangefinders go, what can i get for $50, fixed lens, 35mm film? I really dont know where to start looking.
 
Do this. I have one and I love it. It's compact and built like a tank, the meter is spot on, the leaf shutter is practically silent with no vibration, the lens is sharp and fast, and the 40mm FOV is perfect for street shooting. The quick load system is also pretty sweet. It is insanely easy and quick to load, and I usually get 39 or 40 shots from a 36 exposure roll. I happen to think its pretty handsome looking too. It's pretty much everything I want from a 35mm camera. I personally don't see the need to spend 10x more on a Leica. Here's a shitty scan of one of my favorites shots with it:

Finally got round to watching this and holy shit... that coordination, I wish our schools did anything as good as this. Seriously though, who the hell coordinated this and put it all together? Unbelievable.
 
The director was a friend of mine. Basically she mapped out the pathway and timed what lyrics came when at walking pace. We had to revise it after one practice because it went pretty poorly. Really she constructed it all, assigned groups lyrics, placed them somewhere on the map, and directed what they were supposed to do. I threw in a few ideas but my main contribution was just the videography.
 
got the go ahead from my instructor to switch out my 5d3 for an M9. Going full leica. BP m6ttl/m9 seems like a fun combo
