Just finished 4 days of filming mountain biking for a sponsor edit for a friend. Now I get to edit and see what I can do with it

Today's thrift shop harvest, for 10 bucks.

A Minolta Dynax 7000i with shitlens

A Konica with a pretty good 40mm f1.8 pancake

Made some quick product shots:

kind of gaper M&A stoke but I put together a mountain bike edit for a friends sponsors and it turned out way better than I expected and got a lot more views than anything else I have made so I am stoked! Really only my second time making an edit with a specific goal in mind for it.

Thrift store stoke: $35

Going to Costa Rica for 10 days and didn't want to bring my digi. As this is my first film camera, any suggestions on what type of film I should bring with me? BW and color options please.

Doesn't really matter so much on the brand, but get some slower film for sunny days (assuming you'll have some sun) and maybe some 400 speed or so for nights/any cloudy days.

I personally would go with ilford Pan F (which is 50 speed), and ilford Delta 400 (unless you want a grainer shot, then go with ilford HP5)

You could also go with Kodak tmax 100 and tmax 400. Would give you lots of options.

That's pretty insane, although it's not something I'd end up using, I just don't end up with many blurry images, still crazy technology.

If they come up with something that fixes focus, now that would be insane, and it's not really THAT different, apart from being on a different axis it's only slightly different.

Love how they have hecklers too haha.

hahaha, my hands constantly shake, god knows why, but I seem to be able to consistently be able to get about half the focal length.

Yeah, it looks awful, super saturated to the point where the image is bleeding, the reds and blues look awful and the shadows are blue too.

ahahaha shit you guys are all right. grading is much different in the final cut, none of what i did in the trailer:

Maybe its just the light on his face, i dunno it looks like it was blown out and you turned down your highlights?

Ever since the apeture blades on my 1.4 SMC decayed and the mount on my 1.9 chinon was damaged, I've been without a proper k mount 50mm prime for film/video...

finally got one. 25$ on craigslist. Came with a sorta operating Pentax KX (light meter is non-op, so sunny 16 all day!)
