M&A stoke

I like it! looks nice and clean!, would like to see some more photos on the front page though, maybe little slideshow and maybe some littler ones when you scroll down. It is nice though, simple and easy to navigate, nice work

Just got a message on Vimeo from YoBeat asking me to film something for them next weekend. Stoked on getting a job offer out of nowhere!

just got back from 4 days of sledding in Revelstoke and Golden BC. got some amazing shots and im super pumped to have been able to get out of the streets for something different.

Just sent my journalist application, skipping out on photo this time around. Good luck to everyone else who applied!!!!!

Just got in a butload of T-Max I bought from a photo store that went out of business.

This is what my freezer looks like now. I've also got bunch more at my parents house (100ft roll of Fomapan 400, couple rolls of 400cn, some Velvia, some T-Max 400, some more Acros)

And everything stuffed in my tiny-ass freezer:

Maybe cliche but I am so god damn stoked on my Cannon t3i that I just bought!!

It's my first personal DSLR and I could not be more excited to learn and explore with it.

Filming Will Wesson next week!?! Feeling strangely awkward about it. Since when do I shoot video? Since when do I do shoot these people?

You ass holes taking him from me lol actually the weather not you. Hopefully he comes back soon we've got an edit to make

Well then you can hope the snow doesn't melt out here at the feature we're going to hit so he can get back to you sooner rather than later. I'm driving 12 hours to film one feature. It's kind of epic.

Disagree. The cards well for Will. I'm stoked he's going to be the one to hit it. Fuck, I'd drive from San Diego to finally check this feature off my list.

I would absolutely argue against this... It's smaller, lighter, and just as simple as a Leica M. It's at heart, what Oskar Barnack sought out to make. CL stands for 'compact Leica' anyways - which is what a Leica is supposed to be - a small ass camera that takes kick ass photos.

Compare it to the big honking Leica M5 which it nearly KILLED due to it's popularity.. Leica had to stop putting their names on the CL's just to make the M cameras something people would still buy... so then Minolta came out with the CLE that was like 2 decades ahead of the M7 which it basically was a smaller version of. haha.

The cl didn't nearly kill the m5, the m5 nearly killed leica with it's terrible sales, so they released the m4-2.

The cl is cool I guess, pretty ugly though. If you can't afford a leica might as well get a hexar RF, which I've actually been thinking about getting one for it's 1/4000 top shutter.

Hexar RF's are pretty expensive. The difference between that and a Leica is MUCH smaller than that and a 'real' Leica.

I'd get an old Bessa if I couldn't afford a Leica.

Did my first dawn patrol. Definitely going to do that more often. Just picked up the film from the lab and I'm scanning it at school tomorrow.

It gets written off because its f5.6, but honestly I rarely shoot higher than f8 anyway. It's incredibly sharp. Seeing it in full rez I can see insane amounts of detail; in fact on the roll from this morning's trip I can see contours of the moon on the negative. We'll see how it turns out.

I'm not sure if I told you before, but with Bronica lenses the S lenses are pretty much indistinguishable from the PS lenses when it comes to long focal lengths. The PS coating becomes noticeable with wide angles, however.

Finally sent out my second portfolio today. I've applied for Sheridan college's Animation program... It's ridiculously competitive and I know for a fact that my portfolio is lacking in a few areas... mainly because I waited until the last 2 weeks to even start it. I applied for illustration as a back-up, but I half-assed that one because it's less competitive. Gahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh and I'm really behind on these other courses I'm taking at the art college I'm already at because I've been working on getting these portfolios done... maaaahhhhh. Now that it's finally over I can sleep I guess.

Also sending out my application to cook in MHSSC's kitchen this summer... It would be amazing if I got the job.

Pandysloo what school are you going to?

Wow that's great, my sister's friend's father was the CFO of Barclay's Canada. He made an insane amount of money. If you get through it I'm sure you'll be sailing along quite nicely...

Yeah, and while the M5 was selling horribly, the CL was selling like mad because it was affordable, super light, compact, and kicked ass because it used M glass. I don't personally think it's ugly. I think it looks rather sleek like a big rollei 35. That boxy 70's/80's style. Kinda like it.

Either way, Leica ending the CL that sold well when their top camera couldn't sell is pretty dumb business.

Just got the email confirmation saying my film has officially been selected for NFFTY! The nations (and possibly worlds?) largest film festival. Beyond stoked even though I didn't have the dream shots I've planned of eventually getting
