M&A stoke

Like I said: slide film is on its way out. Velvia isn't being made in 4x5 and 8x10 any more which says a LOT. Not long before it'll be discontinued I think. A 135 roll is like 9 bucks. It's just too expensive.

Kodachrome was amazing. Don't forget the Paul Simon song either!

Lucky bast. Its supposed to be sunny above freezing for the next 2 or so weeks in Calgary. Good thing we are just going sledding in Revelstoke instead once school is out for reading break after next week (canadian spring break)

Nice. I love my ACE.

I just picked up one of these.

Also just found out I'm getting almost 2 grand back from taxes. Can't wait to blow it all on completing my glass setup. Then I won't really have any gear to drool over for a long while.

If they stop making Velvia I will hunt down and personally lynch every single person who ever worked for or is a relative of someone who worked for Fujifilm.

Yeah, that would suck for sure. I was at Teamwork a very big English analog film distributor/shop and we were talking about how Velvia 50 in 4x5 and 8x10 are being discontinued; I was very shocked - that's gotta be one of the most popular (color) sheet films, right?

FUCK YEAH, MINOLTA! I love mine... so clean looking...

and I just got my 20D setup today. Good 2nd body pairing for me. I'm excited to use it.

I hung up a bunch of my landscape stuff at an art gallery in Gunnison, Colorado. I'm really stoked about that. I have 3 acrylic face mount prints hanging there along with 2 canvases.

Acrylic face mounts are just insanely beautiful!

The last photo was hanging in the Colorado State Capitol for 6 months last year!

Oh, just saw you popup recently with some sweet photos and was just wondering if it was just a name change

^^Awesome photos!! Congrats on the prints :D

Mad powder day tomorrow, probably skinning up in the wind holds to shred some monster drifts already forming

They are for sale for sure. The gallery has the photos basically on permanent display, if one sells then I'll bring them a different print.

screenshot from the Cineflex Elite. I don't think I'll be able to put this footage online but here's a screen shot from a week ago. hands down the best flight I've ever had

After getting at least one minute of usable footage per day, I am reminded why I moved to SLC in the first place. So productive.

your love for the a cool/blue grade definitely stood out. It was excellent on the overcast shots, still undecided how i felt about it on the sunny stuff.

I feel like the sunny BC shots were more neutral than blue. They just gave off a "cold" vibe because it wasn't remotely "warm" looking, I think.

was just about to comment on this as well. went a little over the top on some of the sunny shots, but other than that i thought it was executed pretty well.

btw did you get the jacket?

Wow, there's a lot of stoke going on here. That's always good to see!

I launched my new photography blog yesterday and I'm happy with the layout and the design so far. It's been an undertaking though. I'd be grateful if you all checked it out and gave me a little feedback on it.

wow, sigma 30mm is able to video the stars, noisily of course but still cool, even in the city, just wish it had less coma at 1.4

Anybody know which of the following would result in least noise?:

shooting 6400 and reducing 1 stop in post

shooting 3200

shooting 1600 and increasing 1 stop in post?

Thanks

in my experience, if you're shooting long exposures on t2i/3i at ISO > 800, you're gonna have a bad time

Shoot at 3200. Increasing the exposure in post will most likely result in terrible banding, so stay away from that. I find that 3200 is a great ISO depending on your camera, I have a Mk. III and it's great even at that ISO.
