alright heres my 2 cents regarding this shit show of a sports debate (video was awesome by the way i saw it last night haha)
the most physically demanding sport without a doubt is to play a soccer midfielder (assuming you are comparing the sports at a highly professional level). not only do they average about 10 miles of running per game on a professionally sized field, but they also have to dribble the ball, take headers, attempt to beat the defense on the outside before sending a cross into the box, but they ALSO have to be back on defense in time to cover their man.
i've played baseball, hockey, soccer, and lacrosse and playing midfield in soccer absolutely kills me its so demanding and exhausting.
second most physically demanding sport is either hockey or basketball... basketball requires less down time however you need to remember to factor in the fact that hockey players are giving and taking hits constantly.
baseball is not what i would consider a "physically demanding sport". yes, you have to be in great shape like all sports, however baseball is a game of moments. outfielders need to be ready to make a sprint and a diving play however long distance endurance is rarely a factor in baseball. that being said, i agree that baseball is one of the most technical sports in the world and does require an INCREDIBLY high level of hand-eye coordination. just because hitting a baseball is the most difficult thing to do in sports (i do agree with that by the way) doesn't mean it is a physically demanding sport.
