So just could not resist the offer on some 18/19 XTD120s and bought some despite having the XTD130. The reason being I have a very low instep volume and after heatmolding the 130s the pressure over the instep was gone.
In total excitement over the bargain I received the boots today, only to realize that it`s been a boot on display in the store. The liner in the left boot was waaaay lose, I can tighten the buckle to the inner notch and still have less pressure that the right boot with the looses buckle setting. Also the boots themselves was unbuckled without the plastic covers on, it looked used tbh.
On the stores website it said nothing about the boot beeing a "on display"-boot, I will try to get a new pair, but I suspect this was the last pair of the 18/19-model. So finally a question for [tag=134699]@onenerdykid[/tag] , will the liner issue be fixed with heat molding the liner, ie will the left (loose) liner expand? Or should I go to war to opt for a replacement XTD120 (proably the current modell since they are out of stock on the old one)?
I am aware that the liner eventually will pack out and all that jazz, but after 15 years of boot hell I take no bull$!tt when it comes compromises on a brand new boot.
Also: Great podcasts with you and Jonathan, but they are too short. And for the next episode, could you drop some knowledge on liners?

Cheers!
