Gays are taking over the world

no, its because he said that he hates somebody based on things that they do which in no way effect them at all. mosquitoes... did you really try to make that comparison? gay's are PEOPLE. its like saying that you hate somebody because of their skin color

are people important? if so, who told you that? who came up with importance? did they deem themselves important?

Hahahaha. +karma I hate getting trapped in perspective loops. I can never win because who is to say mosquitos arent the dominant life forms on earth? I can only reply with tradition and ego. touche.

yo dis cat k-rob knows whats up. much respect dude. dont hate becasue i beleivei n non-gayism dawgs. just my belief i aint tryin to beef on nobody in paticular, just the people who support gayism an shit sons. ye belie dat

your trying to twist this into a philisophical debate and its not working. our this problem which we are taking about is based off of human to human interaction, so yes, in this case, people are important. if they arent, then none of these issues would be of any signifigance

i highly doubt anything humans think about is of any significance. you need to think outside your own backyard, my friend. the universe is a big place.

then what makes you important enough for me to read your opinion.

no hate btw, your at 10/10 k for the record, just conversating here

trust me, i understand this, and honestly i am a little confused about your stance on this issue.

looking at it from that view (all these decisions being so insignifigant), then gays should be awarded all the freedoms of everybody else because, well, what difference will it make in the grand scheme of things? it wont make any difference at all. people (in a huge scale of things) wont need to exist, and therefore being gay is a non issue

i get what your trying to say, but lets be real- we are on this planet, we are humans, and no matter how insignifigant any of our decisions may seem in the grand scale of things, they matter on a human to human scale. i still think, that on both scales, gays should have any right a straight person should and shouldnt be discriminated

i agree that homosexuals should have the same rights as the rest of us. i also think that when we talk about rights, we should take other things into consideration, for instance, other life. i doubt beetles are content with the rights we've given them. humans are selfish. in fact, i have reason to believe humans are no less parasitic than mosquitoes. but you're right, that is for another discussion.

and to charmander - nothing makes me important. you choose to read my post,

just as i choose to acknowledge the pebble on the sidewalk in front of

me. whether or not whatever may be out there chooses to acknowledge me

is of little concern. in fact, nothing is of concern. why should i be

concerned about anything? i don't think zooplankton have concerns, yet

they are living creatures on this rock which we share. nothing is

complicated, no matter how much we convince ourselves that it is.

they didnt ever bitch? have you heard of the civil rights movement? i agree its gonna take time. but it shouldnt.

i would respond to this in one way or another if my brain hadnt just exploded. i hate philosophical stuff like that. you get stuck thinking in circles

White people standing up to end racial discrimination.... like Martin Luther King, exactly!

Look, I'd buy the "This new way of gayl rights takes time" argument, except that we've already had this revolution in our country. Civil rights was a push to get equality for ALL people, not just african americans. We pride ourselves on being a nation thats civilized and modern and accepting, yet because these ideas, just when concerning gay people, are so new, well, that'll take some time for us and our society to re-adjust.

Bull.

Shit.

I really want to believe that most of the immature and ignorant comments in this thread are mainly BECAUSE the posters are immature and ignorant, which is fine for the 13 year olds out there. You've got a lot of growing up to do.

His post was short, insensitive and spiteful, with no reason or positive addition to the topic at hand. Thats reason for 0.

You seem to forget the Gay and Lesbian revolutions in the sixties and seventies. But back then, they didn't even get full rights as people. They had the right to tell people they were gay and not be arrested by ze authorities, which was a crime pre-sixties revolution.

And they are thirteen year-olds. Thats why they say such things.

1979 was thirty years ago. This generation has never seen a country without gay and lesbian rights. Its been too long for this just to be 'getting used to the idea'. Shit got turned around for African Americans pretty quickly, and you certainly wouldnt see such ideas in youth.

im friends with this asian kid

his myspace name is chink

i hang out with black kids who talk about how much they like to chill on there porch and drink cool aid and eat fried chicken

i know tons of mexicans who talk about border hopping all the time

i dont know 1 gay kid who doesnt get mad when some one says fag or gay

See dude? you didn't even know about them. 68 - 69 Gay and lesbian movements mobilized and fought back. I believe they were called the Stonewall Riots. Google that shit and learn more.

But yeah once the Black civil rights movements (I hesitate to use African American because it is incredibly racist no matter what people say) got a good intelligent man behind them, things went pretty fast. The problem is, the gay movement does not. They've got Ellen Degeneres - thats about it.

I was using 1979 just as a date to show how far removed our generation should be from this movement.

I dont think that its because gay rights doesnt have a central rallying hero. I think that its slower on the uptake than racial equality because the differences are more strange and less physically apparent. Call it humans natural inability to react logically and intelligently, since you would believe that discrimination and insenstivity would evaporate across all boards once its been brough to the attention of the mainstream... But no.

well, in the books, yes, it did get turned around somewhat quickly, but EVEN today, blacks are still discriminated against. its not even close to being completely equal. the GLBT movement is way younger than the AF. American one, and they are still pretty far from being considered equals.

and to the poster above me- i strongly dissagree that its a choice, but that is for a different thread

ha ha in 7th grade we had this flaming homosexual teacher... he would talk about his boyfriend and shit all day and their nights in cape cod it was out of line and disgusting. and put rainbow flags all around the room i was like are u serious

then one day this kid was pissing me off in class and so i lost it and was like JOHN STOP BEIN SUCH A FAGGOT and yeah... the class fell silent i was like oops. he tried to get me suspended and kicked out and everything it was ridiculous

do you realize why that is the original meaning of the word faggot? do you know what people used to do to gay people? can you understand how that might be just a LITTLE bit offensive to a gay person?

i should hope it wouldn't be a big deal. although my family and friends might be a little pissed. that's not my fault though.

oh and drew, it's okay for you to hate black people, but the word nigger is ours. Journey used the word queers, though, and I'm not sure where gay people stand on that word. We know they have the word faggot because they didn't make a TV show called "Faggot eye for the straight guy," same as black people didn't make "Nigger Entertainment Television." but i suppose you'd have to ask them what they think of the word queer.

If you were to say "i hate black people" i wouldn't be offended, but saying "i hate niggers" offends me.

its not that they are missing a chromosome....its just that becuase women have two X chromosomes one gets turned off in every cell which is completely normal....and the mothers with 2 or more gay sons had the same X chromosome turned off in certain cells when normally its random which one gets turned off...

if gays where actually missing a chromosome all gay people would have turner syndrome or die before the third trimester in the womb....so...yeah......

Interesting article.

From what I get, I think they're saying that theres a correlation between this symptom and sexual orientation. They dont know how it works, but if sexual attractiveness and what your brain is set up for is like any other human process, its probably some sort of pathway, and the chromosomal modification could play a part in modifying that. I would also be doubtful that every homosexual has this type of modification - it makes someone more likely to choose homosexuality, but doesnt define them that way.
