A little background here Ive been seeing way to many people in super markets/ public areas walking around with guns on them. It makes me and the people I have overheard/spoke to really un fucking easy that they can shop and walk around with a gun.

Just to prove the point that them walking around with a weapon cant really protect them. I just want to walk up to one of them and kick their pussy fucking asses, because a real man doesnt need to hide behind a weapon. They are more likely to pull that gun out in unnecessary situations just because they have it thus raising the bar for any little dispute that they are having. So why not kick their fucking ass and walk away asking hope you felt safe with your little gun on you. But if i was to do so I would go to jail a whole lot longer than the guy with the gun for killing someone for no reason.

I get it they watch fox news and see all the shooting because the gun laws in America are a fucking joke. "Gun laws lol" says the NRA. So they think walking around with a gun makes them safer. When in reality if someone was going to attack wouldn't they take out the jackass with the 9mm on his hip first.

Yeah my grammer sucks, fuck you.

Are you talking about open carry?

i think so.

your thoughts were slightly scrambled, but i totally agree with you. If they really feel the need to carry a gun in a store, I guarantee they wouldn't use it to shoot someone; If they did they would ruin concealed carry for everyone.

Maybe I'm just used to it, but it has no impact on my day

I probably see 2-3 people a day open carrying and you have to know there are even more people carrying concealed

Let me get this straight.

You want to beat up a guy, who isn't a threat, because he's carrying a firearm. This man has the capability to protect and to take out a threat to both him and everyone around him, including you OP, and you think he should be beaten up for that?

That's just fucked that you think that.

Please, go ahead. Try to kick that guy's "pussy fucking ass" and watch him legally blow you away out of self defense.

Who are you to tell people they shouldn't be allowed to protect themselves just because you automatically profile open carriers as irresponsible psychos? How often do you see news headlines of open carriers unnecessarily shooting people (and you know the media would milk that shit for weeks)? Considering the number of times they (along with concealed carriers) have saved civilian lives, I think it's hard to argue the effectiveness of that right.

If you tried to attack me, you would not have to worry about jail. You'd be on your way to the morgue.

The NRA has a done a great job to make people think that having a gun on them is protect themselves. When in reality it is about money they scare the shit out of people then say oh by the way buy a gun to protect yourself. Merica finest.

Before anyone says I hate guns I don't I own 3 of them a 7mm 08 a 12 gauge pump and a 410 signal shot. I use them to hunt and that's it. When I'm not hunting they aren't with me. I find no need to drive around with a weapon in my car. I know call me crazy.

Nice projection OP, thanks for letting us know you suffer from an inferiority complex and irrational fear/anger when you feel threatened.

I assume everyone has a gun and no, I'm not overcome with rage at any point in my day except when I read your original post and now I want to beat the fuck out of you.

Says the guy who wants to assault someone who isn't a threat to them.

You're delusional

Op didn't do a great job of explaining..but I feel him. It makes me uncomfortable when I'm working a register and a guy walks into the store wth his hand on his holster. He could pop it out and point it at me In a instant. It makes sense to carry in a place like 8 mile in Detroit...but a small town with an extremely low crime rate? There's no reason too. It just depends on where you live I guess. My knives make me feel safe enough plus they have more uses, besides killing people.

I feel threatened by how easily people are tricked into fear. They find the need to go buy a gun because they have so much fear and anger. I'm upset because these people that walk around with a gun have a false sense of protection. A man in fl this week pulled his gun out of some drunk guy because he thought it would protect him. The drunk guy got his gun and thought it was a flair gun and shot the man with his own gun. False sense of protection.

Who am I to know that the guy walking around with a weapon that serves one purpose and one purpose only that is to kill things. How I do know that he isn't a threat to me and everyone else?

The guy with the gun could feel threaten by some random action I made like playing my music to loud and shot me.

They would like it to be.

Concealed is preferred simply to curb people freaking out for no reason.

Having a weapon of death on you at all times is no reason to cause others to freak out. Naah it's cool that guy passed the background check just like the s.c Church shooter.

I have four weapons of death on my person at all times. They're my fucking hands and feet haha

Because a guy walking around with a holstered firearm, minding his own business, in a grocery store, is not a threat 99% of the time.

I was in a walmart and a guy with a visible sidearm was grabbing milk. I didn't even give him a second look.

Open carry is sketchy AF if you are seeking that particular type of attention you should probably find another hobby than guns.

Everyone I know or who have met who open carries has said they love it because of the respect they get from strangers.

Guns have their benefits to society and do prevent a lot of violence but I don't see how society benefits from open carry other than someone getting their ego boosted by making others uncomfortable.

And while I don't have much desire to open carry (or even have a gun) living here in MA if I lived somewhere that I saw dudes holstered all the time I'd probably want to have one too so as to not look like a wimp to chicks.

Op where do you live? Every one who I see that open carries is from farming and keeps it on them for coyotes, and porcupines, and other pest animals.

Also who gives a fuck what they do. Getting mad at somebody because of a chunk of metal makes no sense.

why the hell would you ever need to carry for protection against porcupines??

And they'd only be a pest if you're growing Christmas trees or something.

people like you are the very reason why people have the desire to carry firearms in the first place. you want to physically attack a person who has done absolutely NOTHING wrong just to compensate for your own insecurities. i wish you would try and I hope he puts one between your eyes. one less psychopath for normal people to worry about.....

I mean, I'd imagine most everyone would collectively shit their pants when the first gun is pulled.

With that there's been several incidents of people having their open carry firearm stolen at gunpoint or knifepoint...

If you have an open carry permit are you allowed to consume alcohol when carrying?

Not going to lie Im sort of interested in it just to see the reactions from people up here in MA. But I'd probably only want to bring it out with me at night when I go out drinking in Boston.

Yes, but you have to be under a certain bac. Its either .05 or .03. I think .05 though

A real man doesn't get butthurt when he sees somebody legally carrying a gun. I think it's pretty badass.

If I'm drinking I'm unarmed. Nothing good happens when you mix guns and alcohol.

Lol not for protection, they fuck up livestock and destroy farms haha.

around here I see people open carry all the time, especially when you get a little further out of town, and nobody thinks twice about it. guns are a tool/every day item to these people. if you have a problem with people like that, you're just an intolerant close-minded fuck.

now, if it was one of those guys doing it to make another youtube video trying to get a reaction so they can show the cops how well they know the law, then yes, i find those people annoying. but to be angry to the point of wanting to hurt them for it? dafuq?

im against banning civilians from owning guns entirely. however, i do believe strict gun control is a good thing to have. it weeds out the idiots. i think open carry is incredibly stupid. it makes things more dangerous.

Dear OP,

If I was concealed carrying, and you attempted to beat my ass out of the blue, I would shoot you dead without thinking twice.

Sincerely,

-Hotdog. The gun owner concerned for his safety and society as to why someone decided to randomly attack me in public.

By attacking these people you would be creating a problem that can be solved easily by a fire arm. More likely to escalate whatever problem that they are having? Yea, if someone is threatening my life, my family, etc, I would pull my gun on them. It is completely legal, and quickly nullifies situations. If that person were to come at me and attempt to attack me, they die, end of story.

Bottom line, play stupid games win stupid prizes. You're pissed off Tommy Gunz has a gun in the grocery store? Well he's pissed off that he was mugged two weeks ago walking home from the grocery store.

Also just FYI, its common gun safety practice that if you pull a gun on someone you better use it, so, many people who do carry rarely actually draw on anyone.

Not sure you really deserve to own a gun if you think its an appropriate response to someone coming at you with fists.

GUn owners who would rather kill someone than take a beating are straight bitches keeping dreaming of that scenario when someone rando in publicc starts with you for no reason and you get to murder them causse that is all it is a dream. (You might get to cap a home intruder if you live somewhere really sketchy but a random physical assualt for no reason....)

Guns scare the living shit out of me. Coming from Australia where I rarely see guns, and when I see a police officer, or a secruity guard, etc holding a gun I don't trust them. Exact same when I went to America for a little holiday. Didn't like it one bit, didn't trust them and felt scared for pretty much my whole tripp. Yeah 99.9% of the time it's all good and I'm allowing my emotions to better my rational thinking. But it just takes one snap of the brain for someone to kill someone. Once you pull that trigger you can't get that bullet back. Where as if someone snaps and tries to beat me up I'm pretty confident I could handle them pretty easily.

TLDR, guns scare me, emotions over rational thinking.
