College acceptance thread 2012/13

You should probably just study art. At least then when you can't get a job related to your major, you will at least be able to say you did something interesting.
 
I'm planning on going to law school. That sounds like a pretty okay way to get a job, don't you think?
 
He is right though. Tons firms are outsourcing to other countries, making it difficult to make it as a domestic lawyer. It's pretty hard unless you come from a top tier school. So many kids want to follow daddy's foot steps and become a big lawyer, but it doesn't work that way anymore. Too many people are becoming lawyers and not enough people need lawyers. It's supply and demand my friend.

A lot more of it has to do with market saturation than outsourcing.

My friend was editor of the law review at U of San Diego (a really good law school) and he still had trouble getting a job.

Nurses and Pharmacists are also under-needed at the moment.

5 grand/year scholarship to George Mason, but I'm not going to college this year because I'm going to finish out a modified senior year instead of completely graduating a year early
 
Got accepted to Western University in Ontario today with a 10k scholarship. Shit's rad. That 2/5 for me!

Its decided that I will be going to the Community College of Northwestern Colorado, to get my associates degree in Aviation Technology(in hopefully a year since I already hold my private license and will hold my instrument rating by the end of summer). From there I hope to transfer to the U of U and get a normal bachelor's degree (business, computer science, etc.) all while Im flying and by graduation, I will be an suitable applicant to the airlines.
 
Accepted to UBC today :) they haven't made scholarship decisions yet so I don't know if I'll get any $ but still it's my #1 and I AM SO EXCITED
 
me right now. so many people are getting in to ubc already, my anxiety is through the roof!
