College acceptance thread 2012/13

haven't committed yet, but i plan to this weekend. I don't have any idea on the housing situation there, only visited once in March. Soo pumped for college

It seems like the only housing left is in Williams Village, I think, which is way on the southern edge of campus. You have to take a bus or it's a decently long walk. My friend is rooming there.

Sweet!! Awesome to hear other NS'ers are going to be at Sauder. Anyone else?

Apparently they have one of the best frosh weeks at UBC...

I'm still on the wait list :(

I just sent an email to an enrollment official I met on Saturday, maybe he can do something for me

Need some help. Got a few options of American universities for an exchange, thought i may as well put one as an option if i dont get into my first choice. If you could just tell me the reputation of them all, mostly in terms of student life. Its a semester away of pass/fail so im not that concerned with academics. Options are

University of north Florida

Butler university

University of Missouri st louis

San diego state

Took me a minute to realize San Diego State is not University of California, San Diego. Still has the best location, hands down. San Diego is the fittest, most active, best-weather city in the US. Never heard of the University of North Florida either (and I'm extremely well versed in academia). It is next to Jacksonville, so AVOID. UMiss St Louis probably has the best academics out of those four. Butler is in Indianapolis. Unless you're there for the Indianapolis 500, there is essentially zero reason to ever go to Indianapolis or even Indiana in general. In summary, go to San Diego State and learn to surf, snorkel, spearfish, and rock climb. You're within reach of skiing (Big Bear) and the high desert. You will love San Diego as a city.
