Apple is up to something.....

i seriously want to see the dude who sat at home taking the time to make this.. sick life!

ill never understand why some people are so militant about hating macs and mac users. yeah, great, theyre overpriced and a lot of trendy people buy them, but do you really think all mac users are idiots and dont have good reasons to be using macs? ive said it before but id love to see one of these nerds come to my work and tell me i should be using PCs. that's hilarious

Quote.
Lets sit back and watch mac fanboys talking about how much their Mac is better than their friends PC.

im really annoyed by myth that is reinforced that apple computers expensive. if you are buying a $399 best buy special it is not going to have the build quality or same specifications as a Macbook Pro.
acer,toshiba, hp,dell, need i go on? < apple

2 lines of text that covered the whole web page. I guess I was just expecting something a little bit cooler than the ability to download music I already have.

Ok then I would like a MacBook Pro for under $1300, that has BluRay, 6GB of DDR3, 500GB HD, 1080HD screen, 1GB Nvidia Graphics Card, Core i7 processor, and all of this in a 17 Inch. I would also enjoy being able to game.

Oh wait... this isnt possible?

Looks like its coming out to $2,549 without the bluray, dedicated graphics, extre 2gb of memory, and no BluRay.

Damn.

It used to be a pretty big deal, and now that they have them, they are going to make a ton of money, because (correct me if im wrong) You wernt able to buy any of the Beatles music online.

I would like to meet him as well in order to congratulate him. Its witty, creative, and oh so true. Even though I own a macbook pro i know that there are a ton of people that would buy anything thats Shiny with and apple logo.
you sir need to remove whatever is up your ass.

Trendy design? What exactly is a trendy design on a computer? I love how this is turning into a Mac PC debate. I have had enough trouble is PC's that I will never go near one again.

haha i have a stick up my ass cause i can't understand why someone has such a stick up their ass that they sit at home making sarcastic, bitter posters about macs vs PCs. it's just a non-issue. the both have pros and cons, are better at some things and worse at others. i literally can't imagine walking by someone using their laptop and going "ohh that asshole's using a PC, what a jerkoff"

seriously, come into my work and tell me i should be using PCs to save a couple hundred bucks. that's hilarious

once you do find this computer to hit that magic $1300 price point. it will be a model that will be poorly designed and will suffer because of this.
e.g. heat problems. cheap plastic feel. bulky design, heavy, etc.
it will not be a macbook pro. it will not be aluminum. it will not be cnc machined from a single block of aluminum...............
once again...it will not be a macbook pro.
i know your argument. and it sucks. i used to chant it before i realized I was a bafooooon.

Who cares, it's all about personal preference. Whatever computer someone owns shouldn't identify who you are, or cause any hate. It's a fucking machine.
I used a PC my whole life, and just under 3 years ago bought a macbook. Personally, I like using the macbook way better than the PC, and actually get a little frustrated when I use a PC now. I just really like the way the OS works, moreso than windows. To me, the functionality of a mac is worth the price.
BUT, that's just how I feel personally, and obviously there are other people who enjoy using a PC more. There should be no "mac vs PC" debate, just use whatever you like and who gives a fuck what other people choose to use.

Exactly.

I go to a school where you can buy a laptop from them for around $1800. They are those shitty TI Thinkpads with Windows 7. One of my professors did a survey of who has had their computer for less than 2 years (which was all of us) and who has had computer problems within THE LAST WEEK. Everyone, except for myself, raised their hand. I bought my macbook pro for around the same price, $1900, and I have yet to have one problem or be disappointed.

Now recently, in August, my boyfriend got a new Dell laptop for a little over $2000 - and mind you it is a pretty nice computer. We shut both our computers down, then started them up at the exact same time to see who's would load faster. My mac, which i've had for about a year and a half now, and his PC which he's had for about 4 months, started up at roughly the same time. Now you wouldn't expect a fairly brand new computer and a computer that one has had for a year and a half to start up at the same time, or be just as fast. But it is. My computer has not slowed down or aged at all since I bought it last July.

And that is another why I love it and would never go back to a PC/Windows/whatever ever again.

Your argument is invalid.

People dont know how to take care of their shit. I have had my laptop for four months, and havent had single issue, and I am an extremely heavy user. Its called running virus scans, backing up data, and defragmenting.

Secondly. Dells are pieces of shit. Not that nice at all. The reason a Mac powers up so much faster than a windows based PC is because the Mac OS is not nearly as complex nor as intense, nor has as many items to start up as a Mac. I would love to see you use a Mac for network security. It cant. It cant handle it.

I agree with the guy who builds Macs. i absolutely love the case design, the layout, and whatever else. Also understand that I am an IT major, and a competitive gamer, therfore Macs would never work out for me.

If I had the option to buy one cheap, I would.

Pretty sure my mac can handle alot. I can simultaneously run and use Photoshop, Illustrator, Indesign, Autocad, Rhino (an intense 3D modeling program), and also Safari, Word, iTunes, and whatever else I may have open. Pretty sure you can't do that on a pc.

But to each his own.

nice. if i didnt work with video all the time and didnt love the mac OS i'd get one of those instead of the MBP im getting

Funny thing. I used to run Flash, Photoshop, and Illustrator on a Pentium 4. btw, Macs are not made for network security whatsoever. Thats why we have had 4 kids drop out of the program.

And if your working with video, congrats with your Mac. They are great for that.

I just dont like the lil fuckers whose parents buy 1800 laptops so their kids can browse facebook, and then talk like they are so elite.

DISCLAIMER: I love Macs case designs, and how simple their OS can be.

kinda funny that apple dropped 5 points when they announced that they were releasing the beatles for digital download. if you listened really hard you could hear wall street collectively rolling their eyes.

too bad everybody who would buy beatles songs already has them...itunes really missed the boat on this one, but they probably realize that by now

It wasn't really iTunes that missed the boat, it was the Beatles. Because of issues with their record label they have been late in releasing every new form of music. Their music came out late on cds, their box sets were released years after other bands had already had box sets out... So it's not surprising that they are one one the last well know artists to release their music to iTunes. There are some great bands, such as AC/DC and Def Leppard to name a few, that will probably never release their music to iTunes.

that's true. i more just meant they missed the boat in the sense that everybody already either just bought beatles CDs or downloaded music from elsewhere, even though it wasnt the fault of itunes. so apple didn't seem to realize that nobody cared about the announcement nearly as much as they seemed to think everybody would
