Apple is up to something.....

Clearly, this is invalid. You stated a 17 inch monitor, the one you posted is 16.4 inches, and even with the rules of rounding you still come up short. But being a PC user that's probably not the first time you have heard that.

Its funny because you could have got a Windows PC with those specs for about half as much as that cost you.

I will sell you a Macbook Pro 15" 2.53ghz w/ 4gb of ram, 250gb or larger hard drive and it will be chock full of software (final cut pro, logic, adobe cs5, ilife 2011, office 2011, etc).

There is a big difference between USING programs at the same time and RUNNING programs at the same time. I could open and run every program I have on my computer right now and let it sit in the task bar. I couldn't use them all though and I'm pretty sure that my PC would blow the doors off of your Mac (not that it's not a nice machine, just saying)

honestly, i would never pay for a mac desktop. but for a laptop, you really can't beat how smoothly macs work. i would pay 200 extra for this glass trackpad alone..
