She never said it was the only solution, she only said that her tattoos mean a lot to her, and you fucking attacked her saying that it was impossible for tattoos to mean anything to anyone and the only reason anyone gets tattoos is because they look good. idk why you keep getting involved, but the personal importance someone places on a tattoo is completely subjective and non measurable. So her argument of, "my tattoos are inherently 'good' because their important to me and her tattoo would be 'bad' because its not important to her" is way too assumptive so its not even a sound argument to begin with.

No, I stated that a butterfly or music cleft is not personal or original. I think my tattoo's are unique to me. I'm sure a lot of people have script but not what I have and my means something to me

some people should not have tattoos at all. ex. this chick in my school who is incredibly loaded, her grandfather was one of the wealthiest guys in new england at some point, recently got a tattoo on her wrist "per aspera ad astra" which translates to something along the lines of "through difficulties to the stars". i've known her since kindergarden and can garauntee she's had one of the easiest lifes out there. the irony and stupidity blew my mind
 
A bass clef can be personal I've played bass for a good part of my life and it's and majorly influenced my life I almost did get a bass clef but I decided against it for various reasons albeit one being that it wasn't original

BUt its kinda hard to judge people that you don't know at all. She's the most original, individual person i know.. Tattoos are meant to look cool. Its just personalized art that you put on your body. The only reason people get tattoos should be that they like the art and think it expresses what they are about. I really like tattoos, as a type of sef expression, that is all.
 
why don't you just find an artist you like and ask them to draw it. most of them do that for free on top of it. that's their job, and most of the time as well, they'll probably redraw it already because they wanna do custom work.

About a month ago I kept thinking I was a year older than I actually am and was getting kind of depressed over it. Then I realized I wasn't that old and felt better.

Well you should have stated that then. You need to take her to a tat shop and talk to an artist, if she has a story or something express they will help her create what she wants, and to the person below this. I see it in the mirror and I see it everyday and I'm always reminded. My tattoos are for me thats why they are not on my forearms or anywhere obvious to see. They are pieces of me i like to be reminded of

Tattoo's to me are a memory, a thing that I want to be remined of. Its art on my body, its my body so why do you care?

Half the time I forget mine are even there, and when I see them I get a smile on my face because they mean alot to me.

 
Not really. I mean not everyone that has a tattoo can draw one themselves. A lot of people get the basic concept then go and talk to an artist and the artists helps them put it into an image. Like say I wanted a bird, a crow or something. Thats cool but I don't really just want a bird standing there alone it needs some kind of backdrop and it needs to go with my body. thats where an artist comes into hand

I'm not saying my tat is cooler than anyone's I was saying its not really personal, she is into music thats personal but I wouldn't want his girlfriend to be another girl with a butterfly, fairy or whatever randomly on their body somewhere. You must know her pretty well to know what is personal to her or not. How do you know a butterfly didn't save her life, or a lizard reminds her of her brother. Something simple and mundane could hold a universe of meaning to anyone. I think your doing a lot of assuming here. Just cause a million people get butterflies doesn't mean none of them have meaning or their meaning is any less than a poem you wrote. You are sounding quite holier than thou. I didn't write the poem. I just know a lot of mom's with random tattoo's that don't mean anything I know a few girls. One girl has large tattoo's on her back of stars that she didn't care for now its patchy ink and scared up and Those kinds of things just ruin it for other people that have and care for their tats. he didn't give us a background or a reason or anything to do with why she wanted it or why she wanted it where she did so I assumed she had no story or anything with it. Newschoolers can't simply find a tattoo for someone if we don't have any knowledge of the reason.
