Americans thoughts on Canadians

When people say aboot to make fun of canadiens its a bit of an exaggeration. But it is very close, you may just be so used to the accent that you can't hear it.

yeah, that's it. especially from the maritimes. people really emphasize that "BOAT"

but nobody says it like boot. nobody.

While I was in B.C. earlier this month a car literally stopped to let me jaywalk in front of him. Canadians are (generally) some of the kindest, most polite people I've ever met.

Im from northern MN so i cant really tell the difference between a Canadian and a Minnesotan. You guys come down here a lot to shop. Like some weekends i will see a dozen Canadian plate in every department store parking lot. We have common interests like hockey, hunting, fishing and share an accent. But for some reason i always feel like you think poorly of Americans.

That has happened to me multiple times in america. Shit strangers have given me free money before.

going from a canadian wallmart super center to a regular american wallmart is insane, everything is SO CHEAP, and SO BIG. seriously, mayonaise/miracle whip jars so big you need a goddamn handle on it, that is excessive, 18 different types of planters mixed nuts, heart safe/low sodium/sea salted/low calorie/natural salt, take a peek on the ingredients, nutritional information and theyre ALL THE SAME GODDAMN THING. you can buy alcohol in yours though, thats cool.

Quebec has some uptight dickish people but its not all of them. Its enough to irk me though. Rest of canada is completely cool

I don't really know that much or care sorry, but when i go to Canada for if3 you guy are the rudest people i have ever met.

me:hey man can you help me out for a sec

dude in Canada: i don't have a fucking cig get the fuck out of my way.

me: i was actually going to ask where the nearest place i could get food was.

dude in Canada: makes a grunting noise then points to a building as he walks away.

This. Funniest show ever. Canadians are funny people, but when I was there (at least in quebec) they are pretty racist.

I have a hard time believing this happened, but you were in quebec so it's possible.but yes, we do have dicks in canada too, just significantly less per capita.

one of many examples but i was in Montreal and i know (or ive been told by other people from Canada)that Montreal is basically its own country and its nothing like the rest of Canada. but hey what do i know

Basically every canadian kid that I have met around my age have been the cockiest little fuckers that I have ever met. I don't know what gives them such self entitlement but they think they can do whatever they want and are better than everyone around them.

There's going to be some dicks anywhere you go but you shouldn't make your whole judgement of a country off of one person. Canada's actually full of some awesome people that are usually pretty friendly and easy going.

well being i was there when it happened and actually know what the fight was about yes, but you know what you win i don't want to talk about it anymore. just saying from my XP people in Montreal do not treat you with respect when they find out your from ny. dose this mean everyone in Canada is a dick no. ive met people i like from canada. im just saying FROM WHEN I WAS IN CANADA that's what i experience multiple times from multiple people.

Second longest running series next to The Simpsons.

"Remember, I'm pulling for you, we're all in this together"

i used to watch it every day at lunch in elementary school. but i had no idea it was ever aired outside of canada haha. its soo canadian

The only bad thing I've found with our healthcare is when I had to pay the $300 ambulance bill when I didn't even want it.

Canadians are chill.

The general chip on the shoulder towards Americans is a little uncalled for though (its not like you're from Mexico and would give up your asshole to get smuggled into the US.)

Oh that's pretty close to where I live but yeah i've never had any experiences with ambulances so I wouldn't know if I had to pay. I was just seeing if you were from the states and referring to health insurance when you said healthcare plans.

No thanks. You can keep your Jesus thanks, and we will keep our universal health care.

Its funny how in the news in Canada, its always trying hard to keep itself relevant. They report any international events that has the slightest connection to them

are you telling me US news stations don't report news unless it's directly relevant to the United States?? That's embarrassing.

If you're around sixteen, they're probably just hockey players. There's a lot of hockey players in my town and 60% of them are douches.

Also football is no where near as big, all the hockey players at my school get the poon and nobody likes the football kids.

Which is also why I always be extra nice when I hear someone is American, to reinforce the positive stereotype haha

I'm 21. And yes a couple were hockey players so I expected that, but the others were just dbags for no reason.I'm not saying all canadians are like this just the majority i've met are.

Yes I know that there are fucks in the US too, but there are seriously so many nice people its unreal and for some reason anyone from any other country refuses to see that. Hell, there are a lot more canadians that hate the americans for no reason than there are the other way around.

I like them. I don't mind them at all. I grew up in metro-detroit and theres a decent sized canadian population because of windsor. A lot people work in the city but live in windsor as well.
