I know that your numeric advantage blows our military out of the water, but I'm just gonna say this as a fact: Canadian soldiers are better trained then American soldiers.

For example: I'm only a reservist and I'm trained at the same level as your typical reg force infantryman.

I have only respect for the American military but some Americans just don't have a clue when it comes to the facts.

China's area includes disputed territories and therefore shouldn't be considered part of China's area since it is disputed. If including water area, China is larger than the US, but if including all territory that is undisputed, the US becomes larger than China. Overall, China is just slightly larger in size compared to the United States.
 
Where did you even hear this? Considering the US military trains a lot of canadian units for deployment I'm going to say these facts that you probably heard from some canadian soldier or recruiter are just bullshit to give you some sort of pride that you serve as a canadian reservist. A lot of the US citizens may be fat but we don't fuck around when it comes to our military, the only way I see your troops being better trained is straight out of basic. You guys are barely involved in anything outside of canada, so how are you troops supposed to get real world training? Exercises? The US military is so heavily funded and our exercises are so large scale that it's an understatement to say that our training blows yours out of the water. Show some validity. You aren't trained for shit unless you're constantly doing it, as a reservist, you can't claim to have had CLOSE to as much training as any active duty troop, canadian, or american.

Americans like americans, canadians like canadians(for the most part). Like what you like and believe what you believe because this entire thread is just biased perspective from another side.
 
i think his point was that alot of americans think the canadian military is a push over.

no, obviously we wont have the same funding as the american military, and to even begin to compare training, equipments etc is a joke.

but the states needs to invest that money to defend themselves, canada doesnt.

so the canadian government spends money on what they think is important, like the economy, and gold medal winning hockey teams...

step inside a beer store or lcbo and tell me our micro brew is "piss beer".

our molson, labatts, coors etc is piss, ill give you that.

but canada produces some of the best micro brewed beers in north american.

fuck, theres 4 award winning breweries within a 10 min drive from my house.

I could say the same thing to you, and I'm going to go ahead and say that American microbrews > Canadian microbrews 99% of the time.
 
I don't have a problem with Quebec I've heard it's great but a lot of people didn't support Quebec trying to pull away from Canada and that could be a reason for all the hatred

definitely not. I have had both, and while I can't say I have tried every microbrew in North America, my experiences with Canadian microbrews have been generally more positive.

look up any annual world beer rating list.

canada, belgium, germany, all almost always lead the way.

america, no where to be found.

and these list are compiled by professional brewers, beer tasters, and sommelier's...

not your average 18 year old on NS

the only people that defend american breweries are, get this, americans.
