I need to rant somewhere, so I'll rant here.
I've been watching Level 1 Movies for years now and After Dark was their best offering yet, and to be honest, I'm getting so fed up with all the kids claiming it sucked and how they would watch other stuff. I don't give a shit! Go ahead and watch other shit, nothing gives you the right to make a thread, especially with that sort of lack of intelligence.
Now while we're on the topic lets look at WHY you might not like it as much as you do your precious PBP (PBR.) Every film production company has their own STYLE of making ski movies, for example:
Level 1 - Artistic approach to the filming, editing, skiing, etc.
MSP - Epic "best day of my life" "i did this, did that" style. Also have a unique production style.
TGR - More of a full throttle, documentary style. Everything including filming, editing, skiing, and whatnot.
Rage (RIP) - Very unique kind of 'poppy' way of putting everything together. Definitely had their own flare on it
*Basically most film companies found their niche and are damn good at playing their part
-Then one gets to PBP (which the OP loves) and I personally have a really hard time finding a style to the production. I mean, the skiing and editing is technically good and whatever, but every part is so drastically different - ever year their movies seem to get less and less flow to them, and it seems like their reaching further and further to find their style and now they seem to be drawing blanks. I honestly don't think PBP has any style to its production in any manner.
I don't mean to hate on OP for not liking level 1, you're entitled to your own opinion, but that just triggered my view on the state on modern PBP.
*DISCLAIMER
I only mentioned the big production companies in which I am well acquainted with. I would include Stept/4BI9/Field etc. but I just have never seen their movies (although I want to) so I can't have too much of an opinion.
(no proof read, fuck it)
