After dark review

This forsure.

I just think it kinda veered off from the normal soundtrack choices of level 1 movies and people were shocked/dissapointed by that myself included. But after giving it a few watches, I understand some of the choices they made way more. Do I wish they picked some more upbeat music that just gets me stoked to go shred? Yes of course but, I can watch a lot of these segments (Pwhite Rainville Wallisch Bibby Dadali..etc) and appreciate what I'm seeing more rather than just wanting to go shred.

The first time I watched this movie I got about 15 minutes in and actually fell asleep. But when I watched it again I thought the skiing was amazing, but the soundtrack was dreadful. Only Parker White, Ian Compton, and Delorme's songs were good. The wallisch/bibby was retarded, and casabon sucked. If the soundtrack was better, the movie would be amazing. But overall eyetrip was better because they focused on the soundtrack and it was more connected. Afterdark tried too hard to have a theme, when in eyetrip its proven that no theme can still make one hell of a sick ski movie.

I liked the songs personally but I feel as there wasn't much skiing. And the intros were random as shit. Hot necks fuckinh like pouring milk on himself, Ahmet is all about like bombs and terrorism but finishes with bunny costumes? Were they on acid when they made this? And how was there Luke almost to no great banger shots in the movie? PWhite was the only good part IMO. Fuck da haters

I loved After Dark. I came in with really low expectations based on all the negative reviews in here, but for me it was a refreshing change of pace, and Level 1's best movie yet. Unlike some movies from other companies (*cough* pbp *cough*) the movie never got boring, and it seemed like every shot was a banger.

Some of the guys who normally don't get a lot of shots stepped their game up and got a lot this year. It was nice to see Wesson getting a full segment, Compton getting some shots, and Bellemare slaying the urban rails.

The music was a lot different than what you might normally hear in any skiing movie, but I enjoyed almost all of it. A lot of kids on here need to widen their music tastes. Skiing doesn't have to be to only dubstep or rap, and After Dark and Legs Of Steel have done a nice job of breaking the mold.

So yeah, it's a sick movie. I wasn't sure it would be worth it, but it's now my favorite movie of all time. Get it!!
