It's my birthday weekend and I can't think of a better way to turn 40 than hiking a tube in a warehouse in New Jersey.

My house is way bigger than i need but that comes with more stuff to maintain. There's an endless list of things that i should be working on, so i feel guilty "wasting" my time playing videogames or hanging out at a brewery, etc. I know it's a good investment so I'll definitely keep my house, but I'm starting to think about handing it off to a property manager, renting it out, and moving to an apartment in the city.

And yeah, check that privilege, I think most people would sell their souls to be in your position.

It's not that i want a life free of responsibility, but recently it's just been too much. Since this spring, my garage door motor, water service line, hvac control board, sprinkler system, pool cover track, and a toilet have all broken. It's been a lot of work and unexpected expense and I'm envious of my friends that just don't have to worry about these kinds of things.
Yes, I'm well aware of how lucky i was to buy a house in my 20s. That's why i posted here where many other people post about their houses.
