The new sakana bandana topsheets are absolutely hideous

the idea that you could make a head to toe suit that totally matches this skis tho

imagine bandana man terrorizing your mountain

I truly believe that this is one of those skis that you could have for years and it never goes out of style. I think it's a refreshing take on the Sakana and has a very subtle reference to Japanese apparel culture that plays off the name and doesn't just look like a cheesy "we made a Japanese" giftshop ski like brands tend to do.

Love the patchwork denim vibe of the Pescado that also has similar ties. IYKYK.

Kudos to the Line crew on these fish skis this year.

Walking those from my apartment to my car might be a questionable choice here in LA lol. OG Sakana veneer plus small fish graphic was the best IMO.

I like the blue bandana topsheet a lot

Hahaha the last year's cherry blossom was a bit much for sure. These are a bit busy compared to previous designs but I fuck with the green one especially. The pic is not the best making all the colors a bit flat. I found a better one and I'm sure these will pop on snow soooo good https://www.basenz.com/products/line-sakana-ski

i do not know why the previous google-search-ninja did not just link to the Evo article where the picture was taken from, but there are more high res images of the various Lines there. You can zoom in more if you open them in new tabs. Powder7 also has a nice preview, if not of the remaining Pollard era skis.

I really like the new Bacons and Chronics - they are def their own thing, which I can appreciate. I kinda feel like Line has been a bit lost graphic wise since Pollard left, where some of the graphics have been.... yeah. It finally feels like they are starting to figure their new look out though - very nice.

The new Sakanas and Pescados are def not for me, but then again I freaking loved the older Pollard designs, designs it is frankly nigh on impossible to top imho.

Some of next years surfaces. Between these and that topsheet harald has been riding, their graphics for next season look like some of their best yet. Red devils go dumb

QST Blank edgeless looks pretty wild. Made for like 5 guys who only ski Japow and only see ice in their drinks?

yikes - I kinda wonder how it will affect the flex pattern and rebound characteristics of the ski as well. It would be interesting to try them in some blower pow for sure - thanks for posting :)

Judging from how the tips were rebounding in that clip I'd wager the construction (except the steel of course) is gunna be the same as the inline blank. Without changing the layup it'll certainly be way softer but the flex profile tends to really "round out" for lack of a better term (I'm stupid) without the steel

Which for the kinda snow the clip is in, sounds fuckin sick as hell

Having messed around with edgeless skis before ( Bdog and tanners magic j ul) the construction remains the same as the normal one and truthfully the flex reall is the only thing that changes. They actually ski quite well in mediocre conditions but obviously soft snow or urban for the Bdog is where the skis shine the best. I will say I think you’re gonna be seeing more and more edgeless skis especially in the powder/soft snow world

Skied a lot the Bdog edgeless and in comparison the normal bdog , and also a team hybrid on3p (only edgeless underfoot)

and i can image that a edgeless pow ski can work in deep pow , but on the way to the lift or on not as nice (european) Conditions it will be

pretty sketchy and u have to commit to but pressure only on the base…

i love my bdogs edgeless and my magnus102 hybrid in slush/parks with fast laps/no slope but on hard conditions they are straight sketchy…

also edgeless skis look pretty beaten after a month of skiing because the base take all the hits what normally the edges get.

^yeah, if i had a storage space for infinite skis i would definitely own an edgeless pair to just pull out occasionally, but im not falling over myself to buy one currently. i guess it's nice to have the options out there

Y no 190+ sender free 118 for us tall folk :(

Is the sender free 118 functionally the same as the blops 118? If so, I'm a taller bloke and the longest size of the blops (186ish?? I don't remember) worked really well despite me usually looking for 189s and such

No. Lighter overall with some kind of new “air tips”. Built like the Sender Free 110 rather than the OG black ops through 23/24 season. I’ve heard good things so far, though.

Armada doing boots now? Would be curious to know what's going to set them apart from the other Amer boots

Yep they are! And they’re fuckin badass!! It’s armada so it’ll be different and set apart just like everything else they do and i can promise you It’ll be different then any other Amer boot out there

Probably just S pros in a different colorway like they do with the strive

Well I mean the Armada bindings are just logo changes so I dunno about the "set apart just like everything else" bit

Would for sure be interested in seeing what sort of real differences are going in

Ok valid, the bindings are just smart business but everything else armada does from outerwear to skis etc it’s way different then the rest of Amer and the boots are no different

That just isnt true man

They will absolutely 100% be a re-logoed boot from Salomon/atomic. I would guess an S pro.

It costs way way way to much money to create anything new on boot side. Molds can cost millions and years to R&D/tool up. It is completely different than stitching a new jacket or pressing a new ski. Its why massive boot companies aren't coming out with new boots often at all, and all the popular molds stick around for 5, 10, 15+ years with minor changes.

You got proof to back this up. 100% seems pretty certain. Heard from Salomon that it's probably a S/Pro?

I can promise with everything I have it’s not a rebranded boot. This has been in the works for almost 3 years now.

I'm with you, I believe it's Totally new. I just wanted to hear from someone that doesn't work for Amer telling me about how it's a rebranded Amer boot lol.

Hey fair enough. I will happily eat my words if it is a new boot. The boot market always needs a good shake up. I just can't see amer investing money into a company with 0 market share on the boot market, while they own 2 of the biggest boot brands.

Kbob you work for Amer? Where are you getting your info from

I don’t work for Amer. I’m a bootfitter up here in MT and have been doing stuff with Amanda for as long as I’ve been at my shop and also take care of most of tanners stuff for him when he’s back home here

I’m curious if Henrik and Phill would ride the Armada boots over the B&E at K2

It’s been talked about on a few other forums. It’s going to be a new freestyle boot unique to them. It started being talked about more when the phaenoms dropped.

Phaenom competitor? It would be nice to see a skinnier SPK design.

Yeah I wasn’t fully expecting them to switch over especially because they both use other brands than armada for bindings, so they’re not full armada ride or die

Complete new molds , they have nothing to do with Atomics or salomon boots what i heard

Heard also that they brand new , and that armada have something special for 25/26

yes, functionally the design if perhaps with a ever so slightly lower swing weight.

The SF118s are identical to BO118s outside of graphics and that they like SF110s have airtips and a rubber sheet aka damp tech in the forebody/tails of the skis instead of rubber tips. They are listed at 50gr lighter, but I doubt that will have any terribly noticable effect - especially in deep variable - and is within the expected production variance of BO118s in any case. SF118s are still fairly substantial skis. SF118s do not have titanal underfoot like SF110s as far as I can recall, but another layer of diagofibre/some rubber material. And yes, they should de launch a 19x version for the big boys.
