Shocked there wasn't one last year and there seems to be a decent amount of hackey fans on here.

Discuss it all; Been an interesting season thus far.

TBH Shocked that Winnipeg is in 1st, some good teams out there now that had some pretty sweet turnarounds during the off season.

Detroit sucks but what else is new. #Freewitkowski, and Im sad Detroit wont play Calgary again this year.

Sens still love playing defence - so thrilling to watch.. and thankfully just ended a 7 game losing skid
 
last night was brutal, that was a stunning loss.

evidently it was also the anniversary of Detroit blowing out Montreal 9-1 and Roy personally telling the coaching staff its his last game here.

kinda weird.
 
everyone that jumped shipped and demanded all this stuff should happen after the wings got murdered by montreal are funny now. this team needs improvement but they can at least win to some degree, howard was killing it last night and they dismantled one of the best teams in the league. shits not that bad.

jeez I don't even hate the hawks that much and im a wings fan. I try to block 2013 out of my mind every year, though.

Weird Crawford just had 31 saves to keep the fire burning for the Blackhawks. Doesn’t make much sense to me

Why would you even post that hit from 2011? Zero relevance to this year. Not to mention it was a late high hit where he left his feet. He was suspended for the remainder of the final for this hit.
 
WJC action has been amazing and that USA/Slovakia game was a heartbreaker but mittlestatd is a fucking stud.

USA/Canada outdoor game was awesome, too. I fucking love the international matchups. USA/Canada will always be my favorite matchup.

Ovies a monster this year and its probably gonna be typical capitals fashion to blow it in the first or 2nd round.

You don't know hockey if you think that hit was clean, being how late it was and the head targeting.

Vegas is fucked this year. Across all professional sports, no expansion franchise has ever done as well (proportionately) as they have this season. Considering Lagace was also a WHL goaltender called up in an emergency fashion, I'm blown away that they have put up the numbers that they have. Subban was also pretty much fresh out the AHL.. They may not have skill, but they've got something going on luck wise in the gambling capital of the US.
 
There wasn't one last year because Hockey sucked last year.

But in actuality I was just very busy and also living in a non hockey country. Now I'm back, and I have NHL live so I'm watching all the games.

Fuck you Vegas so much...

like how the fuck are they so good? It's like a team of regular joes.

Perfect cuz there's definitely gonna be a 30 for 30 if they make any playoff ripples

That team should have been in Quebec... I would have loved to see a Quebec team just crush it in their first year and pick up right where they left off when they moved to Colorado.

Infuriating to know that there's a brand spanking new arena in a area where people actually love hockey going to waste and hockey is being played in a hot fucking hellhole that is Vegas.

...but they will turn into the Coyotes as soon as they come back down to earth.

True. Could be worse, you could be forking out tax dollars for an arena for a team that lost almost all of their first 10-15 games and always gets either smoked in the 1st round or bottom feed the western conference. I
 
Any advice on picking an NHL team to follow since there's not one in my city? Vegas kind of makes sense because it's close(ish) to SLC, but I don't want to be a bandwagoner with how well they've done so far this season. Also I don't really like Las Vegas all that much in general.

the Avs are closer to you I think. You could follow them. Probably way easier and cheaper to get a ticket for a game if you ever wanted to go. They're definitely in a rebuild right now but that's not a bad thing. Probably better to start following a team when they suck and there's nowhere to go but up for them than too start following Vegas who will probably start to tank in the next couple years.

That makes a bunch of sense. I know they're at the bottom of their division but least they still have a decent amount of wins and a positive goal differential. Seems like a good sign, right? Who are some of their cool players?

I live in Denver now and have gone to a bunch of Avs games just for the sake of cheap tickets. (seriously, 15 bucks to see NHL hockey? yes please) They have some really impressive talent actually.. Mackinnon is unreal. All they really need are a few pieces and they would definitely be a playoff contender.

Sold, Avs it is. Who are the Avs' rivals? How many times has each member of the rival team sucked gucciman's dick? These are the questions I need answered as soon as possible.

They used to have the most heated rivalry ever with the Wings... but Detroit is now in the "east". So probably at this rate, it's Chicago or Minnesota. Or LA. Everyone in the west hates LA. Even eastern teams hate LA. Fuck LA. Also Vegas.

Nobody has publicly sucked anyones dick lately.

Anybody watching World Juniors? Man what a tournament, I just wish we were facing the States. That Swedish team is looking pretty tough though, gonna be a good game.

On another note my Habs won against Tampa tonight 😳. Honestly I was going to stop watching them this year. We need to fire Bergevin ASAP.

Detroit moving to the east is still infuriating. all their good rivals are in the west. as heatbreaking as it was, the Chicago/Detroit series from like 2014 was amazing.

I totally agree with you. We have no 1C, our Captain is a joke, we let go of Radulov for no extra money, and we have over 8 million in cap space right now. Hence why we need to get rid of Bergevin.....who is the GM. Julian is a great coach. He is awesome, but we need to develop a team around his systems.

I never said we should fire him.
