2011-2012 English Premier League

Liverpool probably should have won today. Newcastle pulled it out though, and I'm glad cabaye scored as I rather like him.

Cabaye is fucking quality... pure and simple. What a signing.

Ben Arfa and Marvauex (sp?) are going to be huge players too... great to see Marv get a run out today - looks like he's going to be a huge player. Great control for the goal.... and what a finish!

Clear in 4th.... and looking solid for it.

Anyone who thinks this is even a possibility is stupid, plain and simple. It'll never happen.

Glad to see Norwich pull of a tie, same old Liverpool, not going to break top 5 would be my prediction.

And Newcastle is deezed right now. Excited for the Chelsea game tomorrow, let's hope we can keep this good run of form.

newcastle was smart to pick up s few of the French generation from 86/87 for themselves. Some really quality players coming out of France these days.

Hopefully Arsenal can maintain a bit of momentum and get the points tomorrow. Stoke is never the easiest opposition, but can be broken down effectively.

The manchester derby should be fun too. The ideal result would be lots of fighting, a heap of reds, and both teams leaving pissed off. Otherwise I want man utd to win, simply because I still enjoy seeing man city get put in their place.

I wont lie. I'm incredibly surprised still...

although... Armageddon might come when we have to play the 3 clubs in front of us consecutively in a few weeks. i'm just hoping for 2-3 points from that lot.

Ridiculous. Just plain fuckin ridiculous, that had to be fixed there's no way a referee could be so stupid. I don't even know what to say right now I'm unbelievably pissed there's so many thing to criticize.

Waaa waaa waaaaaaaaa........Drogba's is a clear red card by the rule of the law, granted it wasn't as bad as some tackles that get yellow's but if you go in with two feet raised you always face the chance of a red.

Bosingwa's was certainly more controversial.....a yellow would have sufficed but that'll happen.

Suck it Chelsea.

In other news - Silva or RVP?

Silva is unbelievable and silky smooth......but you have to respect RVP's 25 goals in his last 26 games!!!

Drogba's sending off is the only thing that was a correct decision.

The penalty.. should have been a foul before hand according to the referees standard, however a light nudge on the back and he flops like a fish (not to mention half the yellow's game from Taarabts theatrics). If you're going to give that penalty, how about the numerous times it happened in the other end.

Bosingwa's red card was ridiculous. SWP falls over cause he realizes he's not getting to the ball, and drags down Bosingwa with him, and somehow it's a fucking red? Come on now..

Chris Foy is a fucking idiot and always has been. It's time for some new officials, I don't know how half of these guys are even qualified. Did you see that red with AVL vs. WBA yesterday?

And Neil Warnock: "Our boys did fantastically, we had a plan and it worked a treat. To get three points against Chelsea is like a dream." What was your fucking plan? Fix the game, dive, and play like shit 2 men up?

glorious day to be an Arsenal supporter. Not completely convinced yet, but we've come a long way from "a team in crisis" haven't we?

And I must reiterate once again....Robin Van Persie is the best striker in the EPL by far.

What a game, what a striker, BOOOM GOES THE DYNAMITE.

Wish I had woken up to watch it but 5:30 is a touch early after my whiskey consumption last night.

Anyone know where I could download it?

hoping that QPR can somehow bring down tottenham. A draw would be great, a win would be unbelievable.

and i need man city to lose a game or 2...starting to get annoying.

demba ba did quite well today. Really surprised at how well newcastle have been doing. It'll definitely be interesting to see how they fare as the season goes on.

We're playing quality football - tonight was a perfect example of how to play away from home - defending as a unit, yet always leaving two forwards up the pitch and using our wingers to counter attack. We stopped stoke playing, and defended as a team...

We never gave them a chance to use their width to deliver balls to their target men... and of course, scoring goals. Lucky with the Pen, but i still think we'd of hung on.

Everyone keeps writing us off..... so much bullshit from the likes of Mark Larwenson who hates Newcastle since we sacked him as defensive coach (because he was shit)...... everyone saying we'd get humped by stoke tonight....

We've got Everton at home on Sat before a trip to Man City, which will be interesting.... i'm dreaming of a draw at city! haha...

Cabaye is world class and we've still got Davide Stanton, Ben Arfa and Marveaux on the bench. We were also without Tiote tonight (who is our defensive rock in midfield).....

All in all - goes without saying i couldn't ask for more from the Toon! Clear in 3rd!

Yeah, I don't really know how we're doing it, but damn if I'm not excited by our play so far.

I was going to be content with 1-1... but here we get out and slam a Stoke club with another stout defense 3-1? Yeah. I wont lie. I'm starting to believe... If we can pull some points from the Novemberpocalypse where we face all of Manchester and Chelsea all at once in a few weeks, then I'd say we're possibly game for europe next year - especially with guys coming off injuries soon, as well as adding Maiba on Jan 1.

We are tactically dominating our opponents. It's fantastic.

newcastle wins again! impressive. But they face the fixtures from hell for the next few weeks.

Arsenal currently winning...due to Van Persie, as per the usual. Good to see vermaelan score again though.

....and everyone else is level right now

So pumped right now... I couldn't wish for anything more going into the toughest part of the year.

bring it on November... hopefully we can retain some points, if not WIN one of them!

yea at the very least they've set themselves up to be in a decent position, even if they get minimal (or no) points from the big matches. Right now newcastle reminds me of Villa in...09 i think. They had a great run and were looking good for possibly snagging 4th, then absolutely collapsed.

Figures man utd would win today. I swear it's in all ex-man utd player's contracts that they must help united win should they ever play against them. oh well.

Manchester City on the other hand just piss me. About as much as chelsea did back in the day. The greatest irony however is the chelsea fans I know complaining about how man city is buying it's way to the top. How quickly people forget...

I don't see the Toon collapsing... Least not like that. They've been playing with their depth. And will be continuing to do so with the entire French part of the team out of action like it was 1944...

They will only get stronger from here on out with guys recovering from injury... Least our Defense has not been hurt though.. Besides Santon who hasn't really played, the whole defense has been healthy and solid. only 8 goals conceded is fantastic.

Yeah the difference with Newcastle is that right now, we genuinely have the best defense in the league. A draw away in either of the Manc games and a home win against Chelsea is very possible. Chelsea never travel well to St James. We always get a result from those games. 4 points would be epic from the next 3 games.

Apparently St. James Park is now known just as sportsdirect arena, with absolutely no mention of St. James Park like before.

It's a shame really. I don't mind seeing the new stadiums get corporate names, like the Emirates (which most fans just call the grove anyways) but to see an old, historic ground lose it's name is a shame.

though I'm sure most NUFC fans will not being calling it anything related to sportsdirect...

As soon as Mike Ashley seems to be doing things right, he goes and does something like this... and completely redeems himself negatively amongst fans. Fuckin cunt move.

Claims it will bring in 8-10m extra to the club per season my arse... what about the 25m remaining from selling the last number 9 shirt eh?

They can call it the big gay Steve arena if they want.... At the end of the day, to the city and everyone associated with it, it will always be St James park. Regardless.

Absolutely true. It's just dumb he's even toying with the thing to begin with..

Either way... here in the Bay Area, we have Candlestick park... it's been named about 3 or 4 different things, but it is now called "The Stick" once again, because NOBODY calls it anything but Candlestick Park...

Same thing with the Oakland Coliseum... nobody's about to call it Network Associates Coliseum, or Overstock.Com Coliseum or Big Booty Bitches Anal Sex Arena... it's the Oakland Coliseum as it's Candlestick Park as it's ST. JAMES. MOFUCKIN PARK YO...

well, being a stoke fan is a roller coaster this year like usual.

such an inconsistent team. losing 5-0 to bolton after rolling through their europa league match? they need to find a balance of focus between the league and europa league.

Ouch... down 3-0 now.

Not entiiiirely surprised, but I was hoping for a little closer scoreline. Hopefully we can mop it up against the devils and chelsea now...

Going to be a hard couple of weeks for Newcastle.

United up 1-0 despite not deserving it....game should be tied.

I know you NUFC guys were very optimistic going into that match, but really you can't be that surprised. Fans of literally every other team in the league knew that was going to happen.

At this rate, I really don't know who's going to beat Man City. I just need them to lose a single match at the very least. (gotta keep that invincibles record with Arsenal.)

I'm not even going to bother quoting what I said about RVP a few weeks ago....we all know it by now.

Haha. I wasn't all too optimistic. I was just hopeful... if for anything, a better showing. However, at least we got the consolation goal there at the end, so it wasn't like we were totally shut out.

Man City was the one game out of the next 3 that I felt we had probably no chance in.

Um City has spent over 500 MILLION POUNDS on players since 2006 and have only won an FA Cup. Chelsea won the league two years in a row for under 150. And Mario is a massive cock so City can fuck off.

not happy to see liverpool win, but I've got no problem with chelsea losing again.

Also looks like we're hitting that time of the year when man utd starts getting 1-0 results week after week, and in general looks to be playing like shit but still pulls out the wins.

well done newcastle. very close battle, but a good point all the same.

and damnit, someone beat tottenham already!
