2011-2012 English Premier League

the o'neill revolution has started, confidence is back after coming from behind to win with 2 great goals, ha'way the lads

chelsea vs man city is on espn2 in the US right now for anyone interested.

balotelli already scored too. John Terry looks like he's slowly but surely losing it this year

Man that shit was bonkers. I thought we were in for a rolling over after the Mario goal but no. If we can keep in touch until January then I'm confident about Champions League football next season. As for Man City, still very much their title to lose.

not a great showing from newcastle today, though i didn't get to see the entire match so i can't speak for the entire match.

Also looked a bit disappointing for everton. They haven't been playing terrible football but they seem to struggle a bit.

Now settling in for chelsea-wigan. Can't see any other result than a chelsea win. (though to be honest im switching over to bruins-flyers once that starts. I love my football, but i don't care for either chelsea or wigan whereas i love the bruins.)

...I can understand it if our defense sucks.

But when we cant get a ball in the net against Swansea... IN St. James'.....

Ugh. Oh well. Least it wasn't a loss...

United vs QPR in around an hour and a half, massive match for me personally being a red, and my old man being an R's fan, he's been waiting for this match for 15 years and it will be unbearable if we lose!

man city win 1-0.

I think a draw would have been a fair result, but oh well. Phil Dowd just edges out theo walcott as having the most disappointing performance. He did decently in terms of irrelevant, minor fouls, but he missed a handball in the box that he was looking directly at. I'm sorry, but if you're going to ref at this level you shouldn't miss something like that.

might be taking terry out soon too. I can't see his case going any better. Just taking longer because the police are involved.

I've been in first for quite some time....bam!

In other news Newcastle are really dropping fast and their defense looks to be in shambles after a strong start. Can't be losing to West Brom after these past losses....however Demba Ba is a man on fire.

Arsenal with a late somewhat luck win.

Man Utd win big with Rooney scoring a screamer, and Berbatow displaying his class again with a back heel goal.

and for the first time in quite awhile, adding rosicky actually helped arsenal. And an equally important surprise is that benayoun did something good.

Ramsey simply shouldn't be starting. He's not ready for it yet. I take great comfort in knowing soon wilshere will be back.

And newcastle...damn, who'd have seen this happening after they managed to get through a tough part of their schedule with minimal damage.

the whole suarez thing is embarrassing now, he admitted saying it so he's guilty

however liverpool are backing him to the hilt saying he isn't racist, shameful if you see some of their plans to support him

i was talking more about points.

Coming through chelsea-man utd-man city with the points they did was respectable. Costly though...and now they're paying for it.

Arsenal has had some shitty luck on draws... Barcelona for 2 years now AC milan this year. Well shit. Should be one hell of a game though.

At this point I accept Chelsea are not gonna win the league. Hopefully we'll get some good players in January; Cahill seems good, I like Rodwell, some good english players

Today makes things interesting. Man city draw and Man Utd win leaves them level at the top, and everyone else but newcastle draws.

Though chelsea and liverpool's draws are slowly killing their title hopes.

Pool never really had a chance but Chelsea are definitely dropping too many points atm. I still think that Citeh will take the title with United dropping off by March.

Still hoping that TH14 will go on loan to the Gooners.

Such mixed feelings on The Man, The Legend the Thierry Henry returning to Arsenal.

I think he'd really struggle out wide in one of our RWF/LWF positions, but if he was to limit RVP's minutes and essentially cover for Chamakh (terrible) while he's away then ok.

Still think Podolski would be the ultimate signing for the Gunners.

City game vs West Brom was so boring. I was expecting a high scoring game from the first team in the Premiership at the moment, but the match ended with a draw. City wasn't playing their best and West Brom's defense was doing a great job. Also, Did anyone watch the injury time in Liverpool's game? Those last two saves were crazy.

I would like to have Henry back (I would order that kit the second it became available) but at the same time I'm worried that he'd be a 2 month loan, and we'd get no one else.

podolski/henry would be nice. But just Henry would be awful.

I still think he'd be able to do the business though, and he was probably the last decent FK taker we've had. But definitely not a starter.

Also heard a lot of rumors about gourcuff floating around...including sightings of his agent/lyon reps around north london. I'm biased on this one as yoann has been one of my favorite players for years, but despite the problems he's had the last few seasons, i think he could be perfect for Arsenal. Leave it to arsene to force the best out of him.

going to be interesting when newcastle lose him to the ACON

in other news, anyone see the penalty decision for everton against sunderland?

what a joke

Thierry Henry back to Arsenal is all but confirmed....

not necessarily the best transfer, but a very nostalgic one at that. I'm probably going to be dropping some real flow to buy myself a new Henry kit.

If nothing else, I'm just happy that he'll get the chance to take a final bow in front of the Arsenal fans, while wearing an Arsenal shirt. Playing at the Emirates in a Barca or Red Bulls shirt just isn't the same.

oh happy days.

Blackburn beat man utd

villa beat chelsea

swansea draw tottenham

and arsenal beat qpr. Unfortunately rvp came 1 goal shy of tying the record, but oh well...provided he keeps scoring, records will come.

Near perfect set of results.

And newcastle lost to liverpool yesterday...I didn't watch the whole match, but it seemed like a fair result from what I saw. Newcastle were defending well but their attackers let them down.

Good day to be an Arsenal fan!!

Couldn't find any worthwhile streams (think it was my internet) for the game so I went back to bed.....but money set of results.

Newcastle had no sustained attack almost all match. Could have been drawn at 2 all, but a hell of a save on the goal line kept it out. Bravo Liverfool... nonetheless, Toon is still alive and kicking out there in the top half - all I could hope for really.

Maybe I'm just happy because Celtic beat the fuckin Rangers cunts and took top spot in the SPL. haha, fuckers.

holy fuck! it's the week of upsets!

sunderland just beat man city with a goal in the 93rd min! shit was insane

no surprise to see that bentder's finishing touch hasn't improved in the slightest. Probably should have put sunderland ahead early on.

Glad to see city, chelsea, and the mancs lose.

I've noticed that anytime it's a landmark match for fergie (hits another 100, his birthday, etc) they always seem to lose.

Now let the transfer nonsense begin!

A bit late, but Saurez you're a muppet.

And lets go cottagers! Im starting to feel bad for Arsenal now, they really are having a shocker of a season.

the arsenal match...ugh. Can't complain entirely because we couldn't finish and should have been up by more than 1. Also had a clear as day penalty denied.

Djourou's 2nd yellow is up for grabs...some refs would've given it, some wouldn't. Personally I think it's definitely a foul, but not a yellow. It wasn't malicious, he wasn't the last man, and he did get the ball.

but oh well. Props to fulham, not a team i hate, so be it.

Liverpool are shit right now though.

interesting to see daglishs next press conference after defending suarez so strongly for so long

in other news sunderland won 4 1 tonight and i was there, 10th now, good cup run and a 7th place finish would do nicely

Yeah you're lucky to have snagged Martin O'Neil - man knows how to run a team, and more importantly how to succeed in the EPL.

Sessengon starting to look the part too.
