1% CEO runs train on Occupiers

I'm not sure if you are agreeing with me or not.

It can def. be argued that government is run by banks and corporate America, but the Federal government sets the regulations and the Fed controls the monetary policy. Smart corporations will exploit the system, and although immoral, most of it is legal.

If you are suggesting that he should not invest his money back into America, than LOL!!!!

Schiff is the CEO of Euro Pacific Capital. His business is largely NOT investing in America; he does a lot of investing in foreign assests. Should "Mr. 70M" stop working and fire his employees so he isn't as rich?

People in this video are as follow:

1% = smart, educated, and driven individuals who understand how a global economy runs and benefit extensively from that knowledge. 99 % = citizens who fail to understand economics and reality.

Obviously that doesn't mean everyone in each percentage but certainly these dumbasses in these interviews who are simply embarrassing themselves by arguing someone who has probably 5 times more intellect and economic success/experience than themselves.

Okay as a serious response to you, Do you honestly think that many of those people in the day were actually paying a 92%. Thats 8 fucking cents on the dollar. No one is going to work for that. No one truly DID pay that. Capitalism is a great system, but the market does have its ups and downs. The GOVERNMENT not big business has caused the situation we are in. The government feels that it is its job to smooth out the ups and downs of the market system by heavily regulating interest rates and being extremely reactive, and the regulations have caused an extremely reactive economy.

The top 10% of the nation pays about 70% of the federal income taxes. A pretty good chunk if you ask me.

Every American is entitled to the ability to work up to money. The government should NOT have bailed out the banks that failed, and should not give massive subsidies to many large companies. In fact subsidies fucking suck. They prevent the market from running at its ideal point.

The 1% employs the 99%. If you take too much money away from the 1% they will employ less and less of the 99%. The regulations set in America cause the prices of goods to sky rocket, and that is what causes many businesses to move overseas. The over regulation and extreme unions in America are killing America.

Its like people honestly believe America should be socialist. Its disgusting.

Called my senator the other day, talked to his judiciary advisor about the Protect IP act, took 2 days and 2 phone calls and now I know where my senator stands on the issue.

Now if I stood in front of his office for a week he would have been pissed along with everyone else in the building and I still would be fucking clueless about the bill and what my senator is doing.

Do you see my point? Yes, too many Occupy participants are being fucking idiots, but even then, they are still making everyone else in the nation aware that something is wrong. Why else would thousands and thousands of people get together and complain? So after that it is up to the non participants to figure out why people are pissed and the chain keeps going.

You? You are getting nothing done, worrying about nothing, and calling the people questioning government idiots. You are the cancer. The only way democracy will work is for the people to actively question the operations of their government.

When I refer to investing in a company that is in debt I am referring to the US Government. That is the company.

My point is that he SHOULD be putting a lot more money into america but not by giving it to the fed.

hey guys think about this, in the time these guys are one strike think about how much money they could have made

That's a really stupid thing to say. They could simply be pissed that they all don't make enough money to satisfy themselves. So they band together hoping that some regulations will be changed for them to make more money. Obviously this isn't the case here, but there have been countless protests where thousands and thousands of people get together and complain.

That is why I said "LOL," because Schiff's investment firm does a lot of investing NOT in America and clearly wants lower taxes.

Why would he give money to The Fed? The Fed is not the same as the Federal government. Are you implying his taxes should be lower by saring "by not giving it the Fed." I think he would agree.

i'm not saying that you're not doing anything, i never did. i also never said that i was getting anything done, because frankly i'm not real worried. im, again, NOT saying that we shouldn't question our own government. if everybody in the occupy movement went about it in a civil way like you have, shit would be infinitely more likely to get done.

Lol at everyone who still believes trickle down economics. Lol at occupy protesters who haven't taken the time to fully think about what they're protesting.

If they want change, they should be occupying the mall in DC. You want to make change? You take a shitload of people of all races and walks of life, and you get them together and you march. That is how you make change. They have forgotten their history. And it is their downfall.

The Federal government is the Federal government; executive, legislative, and judicial branch, etc.

The Fed is the The Federal Reserve System. It is responsible for managing the monetary policy, regulating banks, etc. It's also privately owned, not owned by the Federal government.

Fed= The federal reserve

The problem with a very high tax rate (>50%ish) is it removes incentives. As he stated if the tax rate was 70% once a particular income bracket is reached, he would simply earn just short of that and provide nothing the rest of the year. Incentives are what drives everyone.

With the $70mm he has it's not that he simply sits on it, he turns around and spends it on goods and services that help to pay for the salaries for those that provide them. I have a real qualm with the gov't saying they know how to spend my money better than I do. That being said I of course support tax payer providing such things as infrastructure, defense (to a certain degree) etc, but aside from that bigger gov't is certainly not the answer.

All of this shit is so fucking dry. How about we all just try and become billionaires and let the poor people keep bitching

its so amazing. everything on that dudes body, the suit, the watch, shoes, and etc is probably more then one those people make in a quarter of a year.

LOLOLOL. and the 99% shit is not on base at all and in reality is just a bunch of self righteous hipsters, BUT i do appreciate the whole "standing up to corporation and the man" thing they got goin, so in conclusion99%=fucking hipsters

BUT

a huge group of people fighting for rights= fucking awesome.

70M isnt shit, giving 50% of what he makes a year is more than enough. You want him to pay more.. did you even watch the video as you say you did? why would anyone want to work for 34 cents on the dollar... why the fuck would you do that?

Thank god this useless "movement" is coming to an end. Bunch of fucking idiots that don't know why they're out there.

Am I the only one who doesn't know what the fuck exactly OWS is all about anymore? Like, at first in NYC, okay, I had a general idea, but now I feel like some people are there just to be there, and don't have clue themselves.

...and typical 99%ers - stupid, ignorant know-it-alls who don't actually know shit and are only protesting because everyone else is. The guy in the OP is awesome.

Occupy Wallstreet has been an abject failure and just created multiple cess pools through out American cities. The day the accomplish something it will probably be for the worse. Because people who don't care to understand the problems or have any grounding in reality can't really positively effect shit. So fucking pathetic that this is what "doing something" has been reduced too. Get a life. Occupy Seseme St

Lol what??! Ok mister solutions what system do you and your middle school think tank suggest? Oligarchy? Communism? Monarchy with a feudal system? European feel good socialism?

middle school? lulz

if you don't understand why what i said is true then i guess that's unfortunate for you and the millions of people in global south.

capitalism should be used to a point, but in a way that doesn't shit on countries all over the world.

FUCK!!! Sorry I wasn't clear in what I was saying.

Im just using him as an example. I realize 70M is nothing compared to 17 trillion

As far as the tax thing. Yeah he give 50% to the government. The government that is obviously fucking up right now. More money needs to go directly into the economy, not to the government who sucks at handling money. Whether that means he builds a new factory somewhere, invests in a small business owner, donates to a job creating project, ect.

There is something that he could be doing to benefit our economy, no matter how miniscule it is to the real problem. You need to start somewhere.

Ok dude you're a fucking dumbass. Do you seriously think that if people tried every single person in america could make 6 digits? There are literally millions of people working their asses off and they just make enough to feed their families.

answer me this. What does this protest/ movement do?

what do you guys want?
