Maybe you should contribute to it and make it better. Isn't that the point of a wiki?

Scott P4 or Rossignol BC WRS?

For your weight and given the fact that you lean more towards the park (wait, I'm assuming that, you didn't say it), the Rossi will be a better ski for you. Regardless of my assumption about the magnetic attraction that the park has on you, here are my thoughts: The P4's performance leans more...

    Skiing 14ers

this is good advice! ^ Each different peak has its own set of challenges, some are easy, others you need serious experience to climb and ski. Two of the best, which have a very simple approach and straightforward lines are Gray's(Grey's?) and Torries Peaks. The trailhead is above Bakerville...

Cheapass placve to live in crested butte/winterpark/vail?

Hate to tell you this, but American Ski Exchange sucks! The place is cheap, so you get all the cheap-os in there wanting stuff even cheaper, hords of tourists. No locals ever go there. I've also heard stories of poor managment, but that was a few years back, so maybe things have changed. Try...

FLOW SKIS!!! THE FUTURE IS HERE!!!

if this is the future, then global warming can't come fast enough! hahahaha! Hey flow ski guy, since you're going to go out of business, why don't you waste some of your money by sending me a couple of grand! Donate a few million to NS while you're at it! Maybe give everyone here $20. LOL!

    Ski graphics

The revolt? And you are French? Oui? Think Bastille Day graphics or the French Revolution. That could be a good start.

    Colorado is not west coast...

Just wait a couple of hundred (million?) years. With all this global warming and an earthquake or two, Aspen will be the best of both worlds: ripping skiing and a short drive to the beaches of Glenwood Palms (formerly known as Glenwood Springs).

Which mountain has the best backcountry setup?

Any of those places make Jackson or Silverton or Whistler or any other mountain in North America look tiny. Best of all, no ropes or rules! Europe is the best. After that, South America, places like Las Lenas or Valle Nevado.

    New ski mag?

Tmorry is right, as usual. Frequency rocks and since the same company is doing the Journal, you can expect to see some very cool stuff in the first issue. I don't think it will replace Freeskier or Powder, but it should be a nice addition to the bathroom reading selection.

RAIL SKIS!!! IN VAIL AREA PLEEESE!!!

go to the Town of Vail offices. On the west side of the building(s), where the recycling is, there's a bin for old skis that get recycled. If, as you say "anything will do" then you'll find some sweet boards there, provided that you like Rossi 4S or other skinny skis that are not twin tip. Oh...

So that would be until this October, when it will be decomissioned? Not much tram riding going on this winter.

Me and my friends are going to Alps, but we dont know where. Any help?

If you like park, then you might consider Laax, Switzerland. Orage had a really nice comp there last year and there are a lot of windlips and other natural features, plus good tree skiing. Not as rowdy as Chamonix or Verbier for the serious big-mountain stuff, but plenty of off-piste for powder...

    Skiing in french alpes

This is good advice! Les 2 Alpes has the glacier all summer. It's kinda flat, but they have a park up there which is fun, especially in the summer, with nothing else going on. There's quite the nightlife scene there, too. Get a guide for La Grave. I'd suggest Joe Vallone. He's a member of...

The problem with the Freeskier buyer's guide

Got it. So your geographical situation has you down, and you really don't care about the Freeskier Buyer's Guide. Right? Personally, I think you can ski a fatter ski underfoot on hard or icy snow, provided you know how to lay the ski on edge and the ski is properly tuned. This includes skis...

    Blizzard skis?

I agree that the Titans are pretty solid skis. Not sure why some here are haters? Do you ski on Blizzard? I doubt it. Build quality is really solid, as you would expect from a company which makes its product in Austria vs China or some other third-world sweatbox. The Titan 9 is a versatile big...

    New Warren Miller Trailer

Not to mention the sick avalanche footage. One question, though. After the second skier went and the exact same aspect ripped the exact same way, what the fuck was Andrea Binning thinking, like it was a GOOD idea to drop in? Anyhow, it was cool to see the footage that the still shot of her...

Guess who is making Skis in China?

But are the prices the same as if they are still being made in Germany? That's gotta be a hell of a margin for retail shops.

    07 Powder Buyers Guide

Agreed, you always hit the nail on the head. Both buyer's guides have their place. But I was a bit surprised that Powder didn't include more independents. They left a lot of small companies out, IMO, and decided to send people to their website for more comprehensive reviews. That seemed strange...
