Cheapass placve to live in crested butte/winterpark/vail?

thinking of going here to work this season and i need a place to rest my weary head. can anyone recommend a good place to look?
 
vail is pretty exspensive........live in eagle or something its cheeper and only 35 minutes from vail and 25 from beaver creek
 
american ski exchange is a shop in vail that i got a job offer for

oh and also, that cheap appartment in vail is only for people who work for the resort itself :(
 
Hate to tell you this, but American Ski Exchange sucks! The place is cheap, so you get all the cheap-os in there wanting stuff even cheaper, hords of tourists. No locals ever go there. I've also heard stories of poor managment, but that was a few years back, so maybe things have changed.

Try Ski Base in Lionshead. it's the only core new school shop in Vail.

ive applied to skibase - that would be my preferred plae to work, as well as a couple other places.
 
i too need a place for 4 months in vail.

anybody have any suggestions, where to rent, websites, anything?

can't stay in employee housing cause not working for vail, just a local shop
 
ok, for anyone that knows: are there any really cheap share lodges in vail? here in oz i stayed in a place with like 20 other people, you got 4 people to a bedrrom but you had like a shared kitchen and lounge, so there were always people around and something to do.

so, any places like that around?
 
Hey you should check out CB. I used to live there and i know that there is a big need for work considering Okemo just took over and are expanding. You can get some fairly cheap places. We have a house and we rent out the basement for cheap, but its taken right now. I can ask my dad if he knows anywhere if you want, just message me.
