go to the Town of Vail offices. On the west side of the building(s), where the recycling is, there's a bin for old skis that get recycled. If, as you say "anything will do" then you'll find some sweet boards there, provided that you like Rossi 4S or other skinny skis that are not twin tip. Oh, and plenty of Marker bindings, too.
Sometimes you might find something nice. I scored a new pair of Rossi Axioms there once, for those who don't know, it's a cult powder ski. I'm stoked to try them out this winter.
